Disney Princess Question

Who do you think Bella's character from Twilight movie series is most close to from Disney Princesses?

*
i think she clearly resembles a lot of Mulan's personality traits. She's trying to fit in, but can't as she can't connect with existing people as closely. She always feel she was meant to be someone else. She's clumsy and under-confident, reserved. Her only true friends is Jacob, much Iike Mulan's army friends. She also doesn't want to hurt her family by getting involved with Edward. I see somewhat Belle's nerdiness in her too.

I agree I never would have thought of Mulan they have a lot of similarities and I definitely agree with Belle but I also see a lot of Ariel because she is very stubborn and rebellious.

I don't see any of Mulan's traits in Bella Swan save for shyness. That is it. Mulan is way more respectful than Bella is. They are completely different in that respect. I do see more of Merida's personality in the way that Bella Swan takes care of her needs first ( something to do with Bella's preoccupation with being immortal, and thinking her dad stands in the way of this). Also, Bella treats her dad horribly, just like Merida treats her mom. So there's that.

OK, I guess I'll be one of the only people to actually answer the question and not use this as an excuse to hate on a character with an already huge hatedom to be "cool"...

I would definitely say a mix of Belle and Mulan. she is awkward, clumsy, and and honestly their flaws both come across as really more... informed. Like they don't have any negative flaws presented as negative. Same for Belle. they're both special snowflakes who have trouble relating to other girls and everyone is so fascinated by them when they're really both kind of ordinary. Bella also loves books and has brown hair and eyes and both like "bad boys". (And come on, you KNOW Belle would totally identify with Bella if she read the book!) also, while she starts out as a weird klutz, she suddenly has awesome powers she never grows into, sort of similar to how Mulan suddenly has awesome skill but it's hard to see the transition (but obviously vampire powers are much more understandable since they're supernatural).

^ thank you for seeing the question objectively :) I agree with your analysis. She suddenly got this super sense of confidence out of no-where

None. Even Merida isn't quite as bad as Bella.

Nope. She's too rigid and had no expression at all. Even the Ice Queen Elsa isn't as cold and rigid as her.

I've never seen Twilight so I can't speak on personality, but I think she looks kinda like a mix of Aurora and Belle.

Not a single one, as Bella is an insult to every even halfway intelligent female on this planet. Even Stephanie Meyer is emberassed about her creation by this point.
