Today was the day.
Today was the day of the beginning tests.
Was I nervous? No. But there were a lot of kids who were practically chewing on each other’s nails. The beginning tests determined which classes you would be placed in throughout the year. Nobody wanted to be placed in the classes with Mr. Wight. Not a soul.
