"You picked HIM?" Kacey shouted.
"Vell, vhy shouldn't I? He's a good biter, he's his brother's mortal enemy, and he's freakin' ADORABLE!!!" Kiki responded.
Her sidekick babbled his usual babble in a Transylvanian accent.
"How'd you get into the Beetles House?"
"Very carefully!"
Kacey rolled her eyes.
"Ha ha. But seriously, JOEY?! Why not Tommy, Mushi, or the Count?"
"Cuz I have no idea vhere they are and Fangface still creeps me out!"
Joey nodded. Then, his eyes fixated on something. He wriggled out of Kiki's grip and crawled around the graveyard.
"Should we be concerned with the whole blood thing?"
"No. He's a baby. He'll only need small amounts of the red stuff."
Joey squealed and picked up a bug.
"You mean he'll get it from bugs?" Kacey asked, her face slightly turning green.
Kiki nodded.
"God, that is such a cliche...."
"I know. Now come on, ve've gotta find the others."
--------------------------------------------------
Over on the other side of town, Christian and Wally were searching for victims.
"I'm huunnnnnnnnnnngrrrrrrrrrrrrry!!!" Wally whined.
Christian rolled his eyes.
"Vell, tough! Everyvhere you vanna go, the food contains G...g....g....g...."
"Green beans? Grandmas? No, no wait, I got it! GRENADES!"
"GARLIC, you nimvit!" Christian hissed at the mere mention of the word. He's a hardcore classic vamp, dang it. What do you expect?
"What the heck is a nimvit?" Wally asked.
Christian felt like banging his head against a brick wall. Now he knew what Kacey felt like after dealing with him...and Kiki....and David... just about everyone, actually.
--------------------------------------------------
"I thirst! You there! Spartan! Fetch me some liquid refreshment!" Val commanded.
David sighed.
"You've got two legs! Get it yourself!"
Val scoffed, surprised.
"I AM A PRINCESS! I HAVE THINGS DONE FOR ME!!!!"
David got up in her face.
"I AM A SPARTAN! I HAVE A HISTORY OF HURTING PEOPLE!"
Val stuck her nose in the air.
"Touche."
She got down from her "throne" and stomped off.
"This is absurd! I am a princess, things are done for me. What is this world coming to?"
David rolled his eyes. And he thought she was a brat before....now she's just untolerable.
-------------------------------------------------
"Bleh bleh bleh bleh bleeeeeeeeeeh!!!" Joey whined.
Kiki stuck a binky in his mouth. "Joey, hush. Ve're in the middle of town, there's no blood source for at least two miles."
Her stomach growled.
Joey took the binky out and continued to whine.
Kacey rolled her eyes.
Kiki then got her typical Grinchy smile on her face.
"Oh great, what are you thinking NOW?" Kacey asked.
"Two vords: Blood. Bank."
Joey squealed.
"NO. We're not robbing a blood bank. Do you know how much trouble we'd get in?"
Kiki got a hungry look in her eye.
"I DON'T CARE! I'M HUNGRY!!!"
Kacey grabbed her collar and smacked her friend across the face a couple times.
"SNAP! OUT! OF! IT! I think that curse thingy is getting worse. Earlier, you'd settle for Code Red Mountain Dew, now you're getting blood cravings!"
Kacey looked at her watch. 10:45.
"We've only got 1 hour and 15 minutes to get everyone back to normal. We'd better hurry."
Kiki rubbed her face. This vampire thing wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
