Kacey picked up Toby and Kiki lead them to where Wally was knocked out. A big beam had landed on him. His head was cut and covered in blood. Hoagie had ran into the room to see the scene. The fire began to grow. Kacey handed Toby to Kiki and she picked up her cousin. They ran out of Wally's room. Hoagie grabbed the fire extinguisher and put out the fire. Right at that time, Kuki, Abby and Megan walked towards Wally's room. Kuki turned to Kacey holding Wally. She saw the big cut in his head. It was gushing blood. Wally and Kacey were now covered.
"You're the medical officer!" Kacey shouted at Kuki. "Do something!" Kuki panicked and brought them all in the Medical Room. Kacey laid Wally on the bed. Kuki told Kacey to call 911. Soon they were all brought to the hospital.
About a half hour later they put all the kids in one little ER room. Soon Wally would be brought in and put on the bed.
"It's all my fault!" Kiki shouted. "I could have saved him but I jumped back from it instead." She began to cry. Megan tried to cheer her up but Kiki just shooed her away. Toby was sitting on Kacey's lap. But, Kacey brought Toby over to Kiki. She loved petting the little dog. Soon they brought Wally into the room. They had gave him stitches over his cut. He was still asleep.
"Um, who is the parent or Legal Guardian of this boy?" The man asked that had brought in Wally.
"I- I am." Kacey said. Toby started to bark very loudly.
"And how old are you?" The man asked. Kiki, Megan and Abby looked worried.
"11, sir." Kacey replied. The man sighed. He handed Kacey a paper to sign. Kacey read it. Then she signed it. She handed it back to the man. He looked at it, smiled and then left. Hoagie and Kiki put Wally onto the bed.
"S- Stitches. He has stitches." Kuki said with tears in her eyes. Kacey patted her on the back.
"I'm hungry." Kacey said pulling quarters out of her pockets. "I'm going to the Vending Machine. Anyone else?" Everyone but Kuki raised their hands. So they left Kuki alone with an unconscious Wally. Right about then, Wally woke up.
"K- Kuki?" He asked all confused and tired. Kuki smiled at him. She was glad he was awake.
"Wally, you're in the hospital and you were knocked out. There was a fire and a beam landed on you and you have stitches!" Kuki said. Wally felt up on his head. He did have stitches.
"A fire?" Wally asked. "How could there be a fire in my room? Me and Kiki were the only ones in there." Wally began to think Kiki was responsible for the fire.
"Wally, Kiki was crying earlier." Kuki said. Wally felt very sad. Just then, the rest of the kids came back in. Kacey handed Kuki a chocolate bar.
"Here, Kuki, we bought you a Rainbow Crunchies Bar." Kacey said. Kuki smiled. She ripped it in half and gave some to Wally. That's when everyone realized Wally was awake.
"Wally?" Kacey asked. "Are you OK? Are you in pain?" Kacey ran to give her bent up cousin a hug.
"I'm fine, but my stomach hurts." Wally replied putting a hand over his chest.
"Well, that's because a beam fell on you." Kacey told him. Abby brought Wally a glass of Ginger Ale to help his stomach.
An hour later the Doctor dismissed them from the hospital. When they arrived back at the tree house, Wally began seeing things.
"Why are The Delightful Children in our house?" Wally asked. Everyone turned around. The Delightful Children were a powerful enemy.
"There's no one here but us." Hoagie said. Megan looked worried. She ran off. Kuki noticed.
"Megan! Come back!" Kuki shouted. But, she was too far off in the tree house.
