Over on another part of the east coast, Kiki Van Hatrick was in the middle of investigating the accusations that one of the teachers at the high school was a bloodsucking creature of the night. She was just about to make that "AHA!!" move when her phone started vibrating.
"GODDANGIT!," she whisper-yelled, "Why does someone always text me when I'm about to make my 'AHA!' moment?!"
She read the text and almost fell backwards.
"Sp-sp-sp-sp-SPARKLY vampires?! More?!"
She pulled herself together.
"All right. If I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna have to have some help."
She sighed. Where she had to go required a long walk and an incredible amount of patience.

The milli-second after the doorbell rang, Kiki heard high-pitched shouting.
"I got it!"
"NO, I got it!!"
"NO, I got it!!!"
"DARN IT, YOU THREE! YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!! So help me, I'm gonna turn you all into SPARKLETARDS!!!" "
The door swung open.
"KIKI!" said a bunch of voices.
"Hi, Megan!" she said, peering inside. She looked down and saw a pair of feet sticking out.
"Who's hiding behind your cape?"
Megan lifted it up and saw Maddy...who then hid behind her cape.
"What's her defect?" Kiki asked.
The oldest Von Batty pointed down at her pocket. Part of a stake was sticking out.
"Oooops. My bad."
Megan quickly changed the subject.
"So....what brings you here?"
"Did you get Abby's text?"
"No...what did it say?"
Kiki started to tell her, but the looked at the younger vamps.
"Cover your ears." she instructed.
"Why?" asked Minerva, rather snobbily.
"The thing I'm about to tell your sister is not appropriate for vamps your age."
All the younger vamps rolled their eyes and covered their ears....then cringed about 15 seconds later when Megan started screaming in horror. Kiki then said something which caused her to look at the three. Megan sighed.
"All right, guys. You can uncover your ears. I have a question for you three."
"It's Val's turn to clean out the bat....ferret...thing's cage." Maddy said.
"Is not!" Val spat back.
Megan rolled her eyes.
"No. It's about something else."
"IT'S NOT MY TURN!" Val wailed.
" Would you let your sister finish?! " Kiki snapped.
The youngest Von Batty cowered.
"How would you guys like to help us with a super special mission?" Megan asked.
Maddy and Val's eyes grew to the size of dinner plates.
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!" they shrieked. Minerva spun her finger around in circle.
"Yaaaaay..."she said, sarcasticlly.
Maddy jumped up and down excitedly.
"What do we get to do? Kick people in the nuts? Set traps? Kick people in the nuts?!"
"Well, before we do ANYTHING, we're gonna train you guys." Kiki put in.
"....I thought you were a vampire hunter?" Minerva asked.
"I'm also a trainer, babysitter, and D.D.S."
All 3 vamps groaned and followed their sister and "trainer" down the hall.
