Chapter 6
Now that Kuki was gone, they needed ANOTHER back-up player. So Emma finally agreed.
"Alright team!" Kacey said at practice. "After this, we have one more game to decide who wins!"
"Yes! It's totally gonna be us!" David said. "I can feel it."
"Sure..." Christian said.
"OK, let's go!" Emma said. She and Abby began hitting balls back and forth.
"Hey, Wally?" Raleigh asked. "You OK?"
Wally was sitting on the sidewalk, a piece of paper in his hand. He sighed, then looked up.
"Ya, ya. I'm fine." He said.
"Well, then, c'mon, we're practicing." Raleigh pointed over to the team. Megan pitched a ball to David. It nailed him in the stomach, and he toppled over. Christian and Emma went to see what happened, and then Kacey told Megan this is why she wasn't catcher the night Hoagie was injured.
"I, um, uh..." Wally stuttered. Raleigh sat down next to him.
"I know what you're going through." She said.
"What?" Wally asked. "You couldn't know! My girlfriend just quit the team because of me! And joined the other team!"
Raleigh sighed. "I mean I've gone through the dating thing."
"Really?" Wally asked.
"Yup. In preschool."
Wally facepalmed. "Whatever." He sighed.
Raleigh glanced at the picture. It was a drawing of him and Kuki. Raleigh felt really bad. She smiled.
"C'mon, champ, let's go play ball." Raleigh helped him up.

Finally, the day of the next game arrived. The Hyenas walked in, Wally leading them.
"How'd you get him to cheer up?" Kiki asked Raleigh.
"You wouldn't understand." Raleigh said. "Kid stuff."
So the game began, and the Hyenas were fielding. Wally stood on the pitcher's mound. Over in the Tornados' box, he could see Sak. His hideous, huge smile was open.
Then, a girl with a three on her jersey stepped by home plate. Her face was sad.
Wally looked at her. Kuki.
"I… can't do it..." Wally said.
"C'mon!” Kacey yelled. “Just throw it!”
Wally closed his eyes, and then chucked the ball.
He managed to aim for home plate, but it hit Kacey.
Kacey was shoved back by the ball’s force, and landed into the umpire. The two toppled over.
Kuki kneeled down to their aid, and Wally ran over to home plate.
“You guys OK?” Kuki asked.
Kacey looked up. “Fine.” She got up, and then helped the umpire up.
Kuki looked at Wally. “I’m sorry.” She said. “I never should have criticized you.”
“Well, I was kinda bossy.” Wally said.
Kacey immediately grabbed the umpire’s microphone headset and held it in between Kuki and Wally.
“I never should have left the team.” Kuki took off the batting helmet.
“I never should have worked you guys too hard.” Wally said.
“Ya got that right.” Kacey muttered.
Kuki hugged Wally, and the crowd awed.
“Oh wow.” Megan said. “Pukifying.”
“Isn’t love beautiful?” The umpire asked Kacey.
“Ya, if you’re looking to induce someone to vomit.” She answered.
“Hey! Lay your hands off my best teammate, Wallabee!” Sak yelled, running toward them.
“Ya, continue the game!” Emma yelled.
Kuki kissed Wally’s cheek, and then put her helmet back on. She grabbed her bat.
Wally ran back to the pitcher’s mound, blushing. He put on his mitt and was tossed a ball. Kuki winked at him, and then he threw the ball.
By the end of the game, the Tornados won.
“Good try.” Kuki said.
“You too. You won.” Wally said.
Raleigh came over. She whispered something to her team except Wally.
“You want us to vomit?” Christian yelled.
“You wanna win the World Series?” Raleigh snapped.
“Fine. If it gets Wally back to normal, I’m in.” David said.
Everyone else agreed.
“OK.” Raleigh said. He stood behind Wally as he was talking with Kuki. Kiki stood behind Kuki. They nodded to each other, pushing the kids in towards the other. This resulted to a kiss.
Both blushing, the two stood there, lip-to-lip. Then, Kuki grabbed Wally’s head, like their first kiss.
“Anyone got a doggy bag?” Kacey asked. She grabbed Megan. “GIVE ME YOUR HAT!”
“Ewww, no.” Megan said.
The crowd awed, and Sak was PISSED. He walked up to Kacey, Raleigh, and Emma.
“If this,” He pointed to the couple. “Is gonna distract them, they need to break up! I need Kuki focused!”
“And this is the only way to keep Wally focused!” Raleigh argued.
“Fine, but this kiss will be their last!” Sak yelled. He was inches away from Kacey’s face. Then, all three girls nailed him in the stomach.
“Don’t try to ruin my cousin’s love life.” Kacey told him. “I may not like watching it, but if he’s happy… I’m happy.”
Emma smirked. “Get a life.”
When Kuki broke away, she smiled. She put her hands on Wally’s shoulders.
“Bye.” She said. She went back to the box.
“Bye, Kuki…” Wally replied.
Sak winced, and went over to Megan. “Call me.” He said weakly. He limped over to their box, then to their limo.
“Hey, um, thanks for sticking up for me.” Wally told the team.
“No problem!” David said, ruffling Wally’s hair. “We’d do it for anyone.”
"It's terrible!" Kuki shrieked.
"It's unimaginable!" Kacey cried.
"It's so worth the $125!" Kiki squealed.

For most teens, having to babysit on a Friday night isn't very fun; no matter how much they'd get paid. Kiki, however, couldn't wait to start the job. She had made a deal with a certain villain last week to watch his daughter. After a lot of bartering and a couple of threats, Kiki agreed to watch Val...for $100. Then, over the week, she was approached by Hoagie's mom who offered to pay her 8 bucks to watch Tommy. Then Kuki's parents who offered to pay her 10 bucks to watch Mushi. Then by...

Now, there were seven vampires. (including The Count) The Toilenator thought it was cool. He ran around saying: "I vant to suck your blood!" Kacey watched. It was dumb. Then, she headed to the Girls' bath room.
"It's safe to come out now." Kacey said. Megan and Abby came out. Maddy was over-joyed to see them.
"I sprayed this dumb vampire guy with mustard!" She told her sister. Megan pretended to like it. Then, Wally snuck up on them.
"BOO!" He said. Everyone jumped back. Wally got a laugh out of Kuki and Kiki.
"Quit messing around, Vally!" Christian said. "Ve have to make our army bigger!"...

Abby had been clinging to the tree for the past several hours. About 3 hours earlier, the bear got tired of growling, roaring and being all around...um...bear-ish, and decided to take a nap. This gave her the chance to slowly climb down and make a run for it. She had quietly made it about 3/4 of the way down when Kuki skipped towards the big tree and shouted: "AAAAAAAAAAABBBBBBBBBYYY! Abby! Yoo-hoo, AaaaaaaAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaBbBbbbbbbbBBBBYYyy!!!" She cringed as the bear started waking up. Kuki merrily skipped to her teammate, and bombarded her with questions. "Where have you been? Why didn't you...

"HOLY CRAP, WE'RE GONNA DIE!"
"We are NOT gonna die! Moon Base must be having their own attack."
"Yeah, but our normal villains aren't SERIAL KILLERS!"
The argument went on for about 10 minutes.
"LISTEN UP!" Kacey yelled. "I learned about this guy. He's just a clown who killed himself 20 years ago. Legend says: He can take the form of a mortal to easily kill his victims. But why does he want to kill people? He wants to get revenge on the family who hired him in the first place."
"Well, then why is he after US?" Megan asked.
"Maybe one of us is related to the family somehow." Hoagie said.
"Or...

Wally and Kiki walked into the wait room. Kiki had about 6 Rainbow Monkeys in hand. She handed one to Wally as a "Thanks-for-helping" gift. He gagged. She smacked him upside his head, causing her Rainbow Monkeys to fall to the floor. She sighed and bent over to pick them all up.
"There you are!" Kacey called from down the hall. She was wearing a purple KND wrestling jersey and a pair of blue shorts. "Where were you?"
"At that Rainbow Monkey place down the hill."
"AND YOU DIDN'T INVITE ME?!" Kuki roared, all upset. She crossed her arms and pouted. Kiki handed her a "Super Sugar High" monkey. She...

There was nothing worse than being stuck in the middle row of a van with your cousin. And that's exactly how 11-year-old Kacey Dodson felt. Sitting next to Wally Beetles was not the treat. She looked over at the little notebook he was scribbling on. It was a picture of Wally with muscles and Kuki feeling them. The title said: Kuki Loves Wally. Kacey giggled. Wally noticed that Kacey was looking. He hid the drawing. In the row behind them were Lucas, 9, and Nikolas Dodson, 6, who were playing their Nintendo DS's. In between them was Joey Beetles, 1, who was sleeping. Kacey pulled out her phone....

Kacey was in trouble. Not like "broken a vase" or "cheated on a test" kind of trouble, it was more like "life or living death" trouble. She was able to avoid being transformed last Halloween, but she had a weapon on her at that time. Last time, she only went up against 6 vampires... this time, she was going up against more than 100. She had to think of a distraction. Fast.
"Hey look! Rainbow Monkeys!"
"Nice try. We're not falling for that again!" Kuki cackled, resisting the urge to look.
"Hold her down!" Kiki ordered.
Many vampires tackled her. She was able to kick away a couple, but then ended...

Kuki ran out to check the mailbox. She opened it, grabbed everything inside, and rushed back.
"MAIL'S HERE!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. Kacey and Wally had been watching wrestling all day and hadn't taken their eyes off of the TV. Kiki had been watching too. But not the wrestling. She was watching how every time blood appeared on screen, both Numbuhs 4 and 7 would jump up, scream, and high-five each other.
"I still don't get it." Kiki said grabbing some soda. Numbuh 5 laughed.
"Wit 'till Hockey of Football comes on. That's always fun." Abby told Numbuh 8. She laughed leaving Kiki...

Sector V – Main hall – 5:00

All 5 children collapsed into chairs and reported in.
The cake was eaten
''No clue on the present.''
''All the decorations have been destroyed.''
''Numbuh 5 called. They're coming back early.''
''Man, what are all the guests gonna think when they arrive?'' Kiki wondered
''Don't worry.'' Numbuh four spoke up. ''I, uh, forgot to invite anyone.''
''You idiot.'' Numbuh 8 whispered
Numbuh 4 ignored her. ''And numbuh 7, where the crud have you been?''
''Watching you guys on the security cameras I set up.'' Kacey answered.
They angrily stared at her.
''YOU...

The plans had been set. Numbuh 7 will be in charge, Numbuh 3 would make the Birthday cake, Numbuh 4 would invite the guests, Numbuh 2 would get the present, and Numbuh 8 would decorate the tree house. Numbuh 5 would keep Megan away from the party until everything was ready. They had until 6:00. Lets just say the phrase ''easier said than done'' is not over exaggerating.

Numbuh 5 – Carnival - 2:00, Saturday

''Happy Birthday!'' numbuh 5 shouted as she landed the S.C.A.M.P.E.R. at the carnival grounds. ''Awww....Thank-you!'' Numbuh 1000 squealed as she hopped out of the...

Kiki plopped down onto the couch. This was one of the WORST almost-the-rest-of-the-weeks ever. Sectors V and Q (99% of it being Wally) had caused nothin' but trouble:
-Breaking things
-Ticking off the wrong people
-Causing food fights (although, THAT was pretty fun)
And more recently, Wally had ticked off one of the "important" seniors and was challenged to a fight come 2:00 tommorow (Yeah...the senior's an idiot. Come to think of it, most of them are...)
"You've done it now, Wally!" Kuki chuckled mischeviously.
He shot her a look. Kiki lifted her head up from the pillows
"He deserves it." she said...

Kacey exited Beth Hansen's house, laughing triumphantly. The little smart mouth finally got what she deserved. She gingerly rubbed her palm.
"I think I might have smacked her a LIIIIIIIIIITTLE too hard." she thought. She took out her list.
"Ok, now I gotta get....." her finger scrolled down the list, "....Taylor Booth." She smiled....then groaned.
"She lives in that HUGE house on the other side town! I'm NOT flying that far!"
She snapped her fingers, remembering the other way to get to her house. She threw her cape over her face, and disappered in a cloud of purple smoke. She appeared in front...

"HEY! Careful! That's my shot arm!" Kuki yelped at Hoagie.
He let out an apologetic grunt.
The newly "monster-ified" members of Sector V and Q had just come through a portal from Spooksylvania that lead to their town. Now all they had to do is find some kids to assimilate.
Valentina and Maddy were near the back having a bit of an argument.
"Werewolves are the best! We have superior hunting abilities. AND we make perfect pets!"
"Verevolfs? As pets? HA! Vampires are FAR more superior! Ve can hypnotize people to vhatever ve desire!"
"Werewolves!"
"Vampires!"
"WEREWOLVES!!"
"VAMPIRES!!"
Abby grabbed both...

"Oh great. HIM...."
"Oh great. HIM...."
"Ugh, my head! Wally, why'd ya have to-"
Kacey immediatley covered her mouth. She had a pretty thick Austrailian accent....which meant one thing: she looked in a nearby piece of a broken mirror. The sight was the most HORRIBLE thing ever: all she saw was...Wally. Then she looked over at the ACTUAL Wally. He was out cold... and all furry.
"W-w-w-Wally? A-a-a-a-are you-?"
His eyes sprung open and he jumped to his feet. Wally growled like a wild animal when he saw Kacey.
"N-nice puppy...."
He made his way towards her.
Just then, a voice said: "NO! Bad puppy!"
The Wally-wolf felt a finger through a long...

Everyone’s jobs were done. The decorations were up. The food was laid out. The music was picked. The party favors were hidden. Everything looked great. Except for one thing. The guests hadn’t arrived.
“Oh come on!” Kiki yelled. She stomped on the floor. She, Megan, and Kacey didn’t have dates. They were going as a group. Yet, Kiki was mad. No guests meant no ice cream.
“Hmm… maybe they’re late?” Megan asked.
“If they were late, SOME kids would’ve shown up.” Kacey said. She checked her watch. 20 minutes later, every guest showed up.
“UM?” Abby asked.
“We stopped...

Kiki's eyes grew to the size of a Rainbow Monkey's belly.
"It's......beautful." she whispered. Both kids were standing and gazing at the splendor of the "Rainbow Monkey Fun-And-Run Party and Playtime Palace". Wally rolled his eyes.
"Remember, we're here to train." he told her.
"I know that, It's not like I'm gonna- HOLY CRAP, IT'S 'PRINCE OF PLAYTIME' RAINBOW MONKEY!!!!" she ran over and gave it a big hug. Wally did a facepalm.
After playing a game of "Whack-A-Meanie-Mole-Rainbow-Monkey" and "Squee-ball" Wally picked the next game that could technically qualify as "training": "Dance Dance Rainbow-lution"....
