Celebrity biographer and writing coach, Randy Jernigan, was forced to cancel a number of professional commitments this month when gout pain and blood pressure issues became so extreme, the writer had to seek medical attention.

Randy was diagnosed "years ago" as suffering with the condition that causes intense pain, usually in the feet, ankles and knees, and is experienced by only two percent of the American population.

Randy tells Fanpop.com, "I was in the middle of this terrible pain in my knees and ankles. Because of the condition being so severe, I had developed tumors in my legs related to the condition. It's sort of a rare thing, mostly genetic, and exceptionally painful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, if I had one. I felt terrible having to cancel a commitment but sometimes you just have to call in sick," Randy explained.

In early June Randy shared on his Facebook page that he had suffered a minor stroke, related to his chronic gout condition.

Randy is best known as a celebrity biographer and writing coach. Randy's 'Life and Career of Marie Osmond' has hit several best seller lists and he's currently busy promoting Les Bailey's The Vampire Game trilogy.

Randy has experienced this pain since early childhood. Hopefully this latest round of treatment will give him some much needed relief so he can get out and promote his upcoming Ellen DeGeneres biography that I reported on earlier this year.

God bless you, my friend!

"I just read the first chapter last night--what powerful writing! Every sentence was strong and kept me spellbound.Book three will absolutely knock your socks off, I have no doubt!"

A Salt Lake City native, Les Bailey actually began writing...

Veteran writer Randy Jernigan took to his Facebook page to share his exuberance in his former student, Les Bailey, and his new book, The Vampire Game: Discovery. which debuted in Kindle Books November 19, 2015.

"I knew when I first met Les several years back in one of my creative writing classes, that he was going to write the great American novel--and he did! Even then Les was a master storyteller. I remember vividly the feelings of excitement I experienced when he read aloud from one of his class assignments. The prose within the story was downright delicious. I recognized almost immediately...

Michael Talbot

406 pages

Michael Talbot has woven a tale of the vampire unlike any you have read. He places them historically in the development of the human race, identifying them as artists, popes, collectors and inventors. He depicts them as the curators of all things important to human kind. It is the way they obtain those things worth protecting that is the meat of his book, The Delicate Dependency. Set in London at the turn of the century, a kidnapping of a child occurs which sends her father and a renowned vampire hunter on a chase all over Europe. The father is a physician who has...

Tantalize (Cynthia Leitich Smith) was an awsome book. I really enjoyed it. It had me guessing what was going to happen until the very end!

Here is a piece about the book:

Quincie Morris has never felt more alone. Her hybrid werewolf first love threatens to embark on a rite of passage that will separate them forever. And just as she and her uncle are about to unveil Austin's red-hot vampire-themed restaurant, a brutal murder leaves them scrambling for a chef. Can Quincie transform the new hire, Henry Johnson, into a culinary Dark Lord before opening night? Will he be able to to wow the crowd in fake fangs, a cheap cape, and red contact lenses? Or is there more to his earnest fresh face than meets the eye?

As human and preternatural forces clash a deadly love triangle forms and the line between predator and prey begins to blur. Who's playing whom? And how long can Quincie play along before she loses everything?

When celebrity biographer Randy Jernigan announced that he would be publishing a series of fan books celebrating stars that had positive reputations, he had no inkling of the tidal wave of hateful, mean spirited comments about to come his way.

Shortly after his publishing company's announcement, several online tabloids wrote negative pieces about Randy's book series. Even popular blogger Perez Hilton wrote a story, attributing quotes to Randy that proved false and misleading. When these reports began to surface, online trolls began to flock to Randy's social media pages leaving comment after...

The Kardashian Ladies
The Kardashian Ladies
Elizabeth Wilson's Gut Feminism is a must read for all my readers out there. The work has been called an intersection of science studies and feminist theories. I loved this book, but then I would--anyone that knows me knows that I'm a sign waver at heart. Gotta get this book!

I'm hearing rumors that my writing buddy Randy Jernigan will publish a new celebrity bio on the Kardashian ladies--including Caitlan, this Fall. Randy admitted to me late last year that he was a fan of KUWTK show and never missed an episode. Now, all the TV watching will pay off for you!

Also, it's about time for Randy's...

I was lucky enough to be able to sit down with Jenni Frendswith, the author of the new novel Stonecraft, now available on Amazon.com. Her book is a part of a web-hosting program at the homesite of author Fletcher Rhoden (fletcherrhoden.com/links) where there is contact information and a discount code and link. In the interests of full disclosure, my own book Views of a Progressive Christian is also on the site.

Q: This is your first book, Jenni. What made you want to write, and why this story?
A: Well, I’ve always been a reader, read just about anything I could find. I guess...

The amazing twilogy by Suzanne Collins is being made into a movie, and many people believe it will be bigger and better than Twilight.

Here's the trailer

Watch it and comment if you like it or not.
Also, I highly recommend to read the Hunger Games trilogy.

The genres of the film/ books is action.

Set in the near future, a girl called Katniss Everdeen volunteered to enter the Hunger Games, a game which is run by the government.
24 'tributes' will enter the arena and fight to the death until one person is remaining, who will be the winner.

Read Katniss' fights to stay alive as she battles the other 24 tributes to win her place as the winner.

Watch out for The Hunger Games, everyone will be talking about it within the following year.
