She's a very expressive actress and can convey a lot of personality, and I definitely think she's done a great job in what I've seen of it so far! She looks quite different to the animated Belle and her mannerisms are different to those of the cartoon character too, but she suits the role in her own way I think.

I was pleasantly surprised that she (and the other British cast members) are not putting on fake American accents for this. When my theatre group did the stage show, we all had to put on American accents even though we're English and it felt very out of place. I'm okay with doing a fake American accent in shows that are actually set in America, but for this, if you're going to put on an accent, shouldn't it be a French one?

That said, I'm not familiar with all the cast members, and I think one or two of the British-sounding characters may actually be played by someone from another country? Or maybe they're just exaggerating their own accents. XD

Anyway, going back to Emma herself, she's great in all the scenes in the trailer and I've definitely got my hopes up now. Here's hoping the rest of the movie will be just as good! :)
