Asami is the real hero of this series. She's selfless, brave, strong, loyal, kind, caring, and a kick butt fighter. Everything a true hero is. Even after loosing her mother, father, and then having her boyfriend CHEAT on her. She was still all of those things. She didn't go to the dark side, she stayed loyal to the people who betrayed her. She's not selfish like Korra, who tries to scare people with her powers and betray her friends trusts. Even after all the horrible things Asami has been through, she is still a strong and caring person.

Noatak is probably the only character that really liked in LoK. I mean, some of the other characters are decent, but Noatak is my absolute favorite character.
