bakes2389 This confession says it all! I really hate the double standards that are given to Korra. Asami is always judged, whereas if Korra does the same thing, Korra is perfectly justified in doing so. It really bothers me.

zanhar1 I hate double standards in general. Happened with Regina too.

pumpkinqueen More you think about it, this series was poorly thought threw. The Last Airbender had more messages and heart in it.

bakes2389 @zanhar1: I totally agree. Double standards are utterly ridiculous. @pumpkinqueen: Agreed again! ATLA had a better plot, better characters, and better morals/lessons. Don't get me wrong, LOK has great animation and I like the 30's vibe they've got going on, but their plot was bullshit, their characters were lacking (especially the main ones. i.e. Korra, Mako), and their morals/lessons were thrown out the window.

zanhar1 I miss ATLA, part of me thinks they weren't trying with Korra. Don't get me wrong, I like this show, but it's hard to live up to something like The Last Airbender (show, not movie, of course).

bakes2389 ^ I completely agree! It's like no effort was put in Korra.....it was more about Makorra than anything else, and I hated how they used both Asami and Bolin as pawns to enable that relationship.

pumpkinqueen bakes2389: I agree 100%, I liked Korra at first, but her character went really down hill and was just poorly made. Rather upsetting, since she is the Avatar after Aang, who was a really nice kid. I hate how they are forgetting about the spirital part of bending! >.<

bakes2389 I didn't mind Korra at first. Her aggressiveness as a child was a tad annoying for me.....and I was like, "oh isn't she just precociously obnoxious. That could change...." And then she grew up.......and I was like: "oh damn....she's annoyingly obnoxious......and really selfish. She just got worse." I get that they wanted a completely different avatar than Aang, but they made Korra so awful that I really hate cheering her on. I was rooting for the bad guys the entire season.......that's really sad. And yeah! The damn writers completely forgot about the most important part of bending! The spiritual balance...and hell! Even heart! It's like the writers thought of a couple and then thought of making a show revolve around that couple.
