I was reading zanhar1's article link and one thing she said really popped out at me. Here's the quote:

"The main reason as to why I think TLOK gets so much hate is because ATLA was such a great show that by comparison, Korra just doesn't stand a chance. I mean Avatar was a masterpiece with unbeatable and lovable characters (to the point where one can even love the character they hated to some degree!) and a wicked plot. With that in mind I think people set their standards too high. They were expecting something that would blow Avatar away or at least match up with the show. And when Korra was...

Lila's P.O.V

I was the new avatar after kora passed away 1 year ago I still have to train the 4 elements. So yeah I'm a avatar in training. I found out water air fire but still earth. It was great. Start. For me everybody was calm. But when we got attacked that's when kora died i wasn't born yet but they told me the story so here is how it goes sit down relax and enjoy the story:

It was a calm sunny day the wind passing at the perfect pace.
Everyone was in the village walking around so was kora. She was having a great time when all she heard was screaming. She ran over to what was going over to what was happening air bended the car and it flew over she ran on top of the carriage and held on but they crashed and she fell and got stabbed.
And that's when I became the new avatar.

Plot
Six months from the first book Korra and the rest of the new team avatar are in the southern pole.Korra goes through adventures in the spirit world and learns stories of the previous avatars and how the avatar linage began. With Aang's help she can become a legend.

Clothing
Obviously, they'll be wearing warmer clothing. But some people wear pretty unique chiz.Korra wears medium width snow clothes that fits her figure.Mako wears clothes in book 1 except wider and more coat-like,and so does Bolin.Asami wears womenly corperational clothes.Tenzin wears a robe looking coat, which is pretty clever.
The next morning, Korra spent her time with Pema and cleaning the house while her friends went into city. Korra didn't even acknowledge Mako at breakfast. Mako left with a guilty look on his face. Not only has he been lying to his girlfriend about his feelings for Korra and the kiss, he's been causing Korra pain and now has pushed her away. He just didn't know what to do. He fell for both girls. Each is special in their own way. Either one he chose he wouldn't be happy because there would be someone getting hurt, and Mako didn't want that.

Korra still has that stone look on her face. Pema has...

Korra has been quiet silent for the past few weeks. Why? Because her not so secret crush, his brother and girlfriend are living with her. She knew it was the right thing to do to invite Asami as well, but she still couldn't help but be depressed knowing that after that incident at the Satos, it was obvious to her who Mako would pick. Asami is currently sharing a room with her since Ikki has been playing pranks on her for 'messing everything up in the name of love' or something. Jinora has just been giving her a cold stare. For her safety, I suggested see stay in my room. The boys stayed in...

The series will focus on Korra, a teenage female protagonist from the Southern Water Tribe and the current incarnation of the Avatar, who, according to the president of Nickelodeon, will be "hotheaded, independent, and ready to take on the world."[1] She has already mastered the elements of Water, Earth, and Fire, but needs to master Air.[3] The character was partly inspired by Avatar Kyoshi of the original series, whom the creators say was very popular among fans. In order to avoid repetition of Aang's adventures, the creators wanted to root the show in one place, called Republic City, a steam-punk...
