I'll admit I was skeptical of her when she first appeared. It wasn't that I didn't like but I felt like she had no character deveopment at all, we didn't really know anything about her and that made me not trust her.
In The Aftermath though when we find out it's her father who's an equalist and Asami stayed loyal to her friends, I really respected and admired her, since then she's been one of my favorite characters. And after that she continues to show how great a person she is.
Though I love Asami I definitely don't ship Masami in any way shape or form. I just thought that from the beginning their relationship was unbearably dull. I felt they didn't really click at all. And when Korra went missing and Asami found out everything, I didn't blame her one bit for how she felt. A lot of people critize her for that and it doesn't really make sense to me, she put aside her feelings and didn't confront Mako until Korra was safe, plenty of people wouldn't even do that.
What I think Asami needs to do after the finale is to leave Republic City and travel, maybe settle down in the Fire Nation with a certain General.(hehe) Seriously though even if she doesn't end up with anyone I don't really care. I just want Asami to be happy and Republic City holds too many bad memories for her. Her mother's death, her father's betrayal and now that Mako and Korra are together she'll have to watch her ex, who she still cares for, be with one of her best friends. So yeah if I was her I totes would not want to be around that. Asami is an amazing, strong character, she drives stick like a boss, and I love her.

“After the conclusion of the War, Aang and Zuko brought people from the four nations together and founded the United Republic, creating Republic City, a large "metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology" such as cars and motorcycles.”
I find it strange that Aang and Zuko decided to build a city, straight after the war.
Sozin started the war because he wanted the same thing right? (And to rule them all of course)
Why was Roku opposed to the idea anyway, Aang and Zuko thought it would be a good idea (‘they built their own city’)
Technically people in Republic city are living Sozin’s dream, right?
What are your thoughts?
