Artemis Fowl Question

Anyone else think The Atlantis Complex isn't Colfer's usual standard?

Don't bring out the pitch forks just yet! I'm not saying it's a bad book over all, just that I don't think it's the usual Artemis Fowl story I've come to know and love. Just just seemed ... off. Am I the only one that thought that?

Yeah I know... There was a lot of potential with the theme, but he didn't quite get it right. Though I thought the second half of the book seemed more of what he would write. And it was more entertaining.

i sorta felt the same way. first off it was alot shorter than the time paradox which is odd because this one was to build off of that one. also holly and artemis'e relationship went no where except for orion babling on about holly. but still that didnt really change anyhting between artemis and holly.weird.

I did notice it was shorter. He had so much material to work with and he crammed it into 100 some-odd pages. It couldn't have been more than 200. And it did kind of make me mad that nothing changed between Holly and Artemis.

I know! i had good expectations about their relationship. perhaps if he makes another book their relationship will extend in that one

Haven't read it yet, but I think he started to drop his standard in The Time Paradox

Yeah, The Time Paradox was . . . not one of my favorites.
