Scene 2:

(Opening titles appear with dramatic music in the background.)
(It's night now and everyone is sleeping in the den. Humphrey tosses and turns, talking in his sleep.)
Humphrey: Mom. Dad. No. Don't leave. Help!
(Meanwhile, just outside the den, Kate and Winston are quietly talking.)

Winston: We can't keep it a secret any longer. He has to know the truth.
Kate: I agree.

(The next day, Winston calls a pack meeting.)

Winston: Everyone, quiet!
(The entire pack was gathered in the center of the valley. Winston stood on a rock as Cando and Hutch sat on either side of him.
Hutch: Are you sure we should really tell him, sir?
Winston: He has to know.
(Everyone quiets down as Winston begins to speak)
Winston: Everyone, we are faced with a time we all knew would come. A time, we all knew would be hard on this pack. But it will not be as hard for us as it will be for Humphrey.
(Everyone turns to look at Humphrey, who is sitting at the very back of the assembly)
Winston: Humphrey. Come here. We have something we need to discuss that is of the utmost importance.
(Humphrey walks to the front)
Winston: It's time you learned how got here. How you came to be in this pack.
(There was a silence that followed these words)
Winston: When we first found you, you were still quite young, but it was obvious you had been on your own for a long time.
Humphrey: What happened?
Winston (to Cando and Hutch): I think you two should take it from here.
Cando: Right.
(Winston steps down as Hutch and Cando step onto the rock.)
Cando: The day we found you started off like any other day.
(Movie flashes back to when Humphrey was found with Cando and Hutch narrating)
Hutch: We were on a routine patrol around the edges of the territory.
(Flashback shows Cando and Hutch walking through dense woods in the early hours of the morning. A small silhouette appears through the morning mist.)
Hutch: When we were about to turn around and head back, we noticed something. A small shape in the mist.
Hutch (in flashback): Who are you!?
(The figure slowly moves closer. Soon enough, the shape of a young wolf pup is visible.)
Cando: You were so young, and we couldn't understand why such a young pup would be out all alone.
Hutch: We didn't recognize you from the Western or the Eastern pack. So we decided to take you to Winston.
(Winston joins Cando and Hutch on the rock)
(Flashback shows Cando and Hutch bringing a young Humphrey into the den)
Winston (in flashback): What's this?
Cando (in flashback): We don't know. We found him out on the edges of the territory.
Hutch (in flashback): It doesn't look like he's from either pack.
Winston (in flashback) Indeed.
(In the flashback, a young Kate comes out from behind Winston)
Young Kate: Dad? What's going on?
Winston: Nothing, Kate. You'll understand when you're older. Now, go back to your mother.
(Kate reluctantly obeys her father and returns to a pregnant Eve as Lilly hasn't been born yet.)
Hutch: What do you want us to do, sir?
Winston: Well, we can't just leave him. It's a wonder he's even alive. Leave him with me. I'll take care of him for the day, then we'll decide what to do tomorrow.
(Back in the present day)
Winston: You were quite rambunctious that day and it quickly became clear that you were an omega. You also became fast friends with Kate, mostly because she couldn't contain her curiosity of you.
(Humphrey looks over at Kate)
Humphrey: I remember. She couldn't stop asking questions.
(Kate turns away and smiles as she remembers)
Winston: We decided to accept you into the pack and it wasn't long before you met your other friends. Over the first couple of years, you lot were quite the troublemakers, but it wasn't long before you all grew into the wolves you are today.
(Humphrey struggles to speak, the thoughts weighing down on his mind)
Humphrey: But what...what about my...parents?
(Winston sighs)
Winston: No one here really knows what happened the day you lost your parents. Only you can tell us that.
Humphrey: But all I remember are images. I just remember a cage and, a truck, I think.
(Humphrey stops, and then gets a look on his face. Like an "aha!" look because he's just remembered something else.)
Humphrey (slowly): And my parents, running after the truck. Someone else was with me. There was a cage next me, but I can't remember who was in it. The last thing I remember was my dad shouting that he would find me. That was the last time I saw them.
(There is silence once again)
Winston: Humphrey, we know your parents might still be alive somewhere. And if they are, we wouldn't want to keep you from them. So, I've decided to let you go and search for them. I've assembled a team to go with you if you like.
Humphrey: Really?
Winston: Of course. If they're out there, you have to find them. Now, as I said, I've assembled a team to go with you, if you want them.
Humphrey: Yes, I'll take them.
Winston: Good. Cando and Hutch will take you to the edge of the territory where they found you. You can start there. I'll also be sending Daria with you. If there's anything out there, she'll hear it. And, although there's about a million things telling me otherwise, I'm sending your pups with you, too.
Humphrey: I'll take Stinky, but Claudette and Runt stay.
Winston: Humphrey, I think you know as well as I do that if you take one, it won't be long before you have the other two following you. You'd be better of with all three.
Humphrey: All right.
Marcel: We're going too.
Paddy: Yes, if there's anything to see from the air, you'll hear it from us.
Kate: I'm going, too.
Garth: And so are we.
Winston: Very well. You'll leave tomorrow. Now, try and get a good night's sleep tonight. And Humphrey,
(Humphrey looks back at Winston as the pack begins to split up)
Winston: Don't get your hopes up. You might not like what you find. And good luck.
One thing I had to do before starting this was fix a small problem that I had created. The timeline has Lilly giving birth a month or so after Humphrey’s supposed death, meaning she would’ve gotten pregnant around the beginning of Missing Parents.

The reason she had to be pregnant during this time was because Jax, Jonas, and Martin had to be roughly the same age as Stinky, Claudette, and Runt, which means they had to be born as soon as possible after Legend. However, it’s very doubtful that Lilly would’ve gotten pregnant in the aftermath of Humphrey’s death as everyone would be taking...

I’m putting chapter seven into its own section here just because of how incredibly long it is, considering this is when Humphrey tells his story of what happened to him during the seventeen years he was gone.

My original plan was to have Steven find a naturally occurring lean-to when the group settles down with Gerald, but then I realized how incredibly unlikely that would be, so I went back to A Hero’s Past and had Viggo’s tent break in the storm, so then he would be forced to make a lean-to and that could be the one they use in The Final War.

I spent a lot of time dreading this chapter...

Chapter 27: A Noble End

Viggo, Humphrey, and Kate were calmly walking through the woods as the sun rose higher into the sky. Humphrey looked over at Kate.

“Are you okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’m good,” she replied nervously.

“The symptoms won’t come on for another day or so,” Viggo said, overhearing them. “By the time we’ve concluded our business, Kate will have the antidote.”

Humphrey shot Viggo a dirty look.

“Oh, don’t be like that, Humphrey,” Viggo said. “What did I tell you about ruthlessness?”

“You killed my son and poisoned my wife, Viggo,” Humphrey replied angrily....

Chapter 24: Aftermath

Humphrey slowly walked up to Runt’s lifeless body and laid down next to it, setting his head down on top of his son’s body and slowly beginning to cry. Humphrey simply laid there, not moving, remaining with Runt long after his eyes had gone dry, entirely consumed by his grief. Even after everyone else had had their time and left, even as night fell, Humphrey still continued to stay with Runt.

The sun rose the next day and as Kate headed out toward the valley, her heart was crushed to see Humphrey still laying there.

“Has he really been out there all night?” Adam asked....

Chapter 22: The Great Gathering

Steven and Kenya arrived at the Protectors’ pack a few hours later and dropped off the pups of the Western Pack. Steven looked at his son, Luke, who was making friends with a female pup.

“Oh, I get it,” Steven said, smiling, “my son has a way with the ladies. He must’ve picked up a few pointers from his father.”

“I doubt it,” Kenya replied. “She’s not dry heaving.”

They approached Mort and asked him for help against Viggo. Mort gladly agreed, taking half of the Protectors with him and leaving Darren to lead while...

Chapter 21: The Lost Pup

As Viggo raised the sword above his head, he became aware of someone standing behind him.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” Kate growled.

Humphrey turned around at hearing Kate’s voice and jumped when he saw the sword raised threateningly above him.

“Whoa! What the-“ he exclaimed.

“Kate,” Viggo said. “It’s good to see you again so soon, but I’m afraid your efforts are too little, too late.”

“I don’t think so,” Kate continued growling. “Now drop it.”

Viggo suddenly grabbed Humphrey by the back of his neck and pinned him under his elbow, holding...

Chapter 14: A Simple Misunderstanding

The group was led into a den and several wolves remained at the entrance to guard them. Humphrey and the others gathered in the back and quietly began to discuss their next move. Humphrey wasn’t participating much, and Kate took notice.

“Humphrey?” she asked. “Are you okay?”

“Not exactly,” Humphrey replied. “He knew this would happen.”

“Who?”

“Viggo. When he gave me this mark, he told me it would cause problems for me in the future,” Humphrey said. “He didn’t just use it to remind me of him. He knew he was going to use it to turn...

Eight years had passed since anyone had seen Viggo and while he was still on their minds, they weren’t as tense about it. One day, in late autumn, Humphrey was out wandering in the woods when he suddenly felt a sharp, stinging pain in his side that burned like fire. He collapsed to the ground, yelling in pain. When he looked at his side, he was surprised to see an arrow sticking out of it. He looked up and noticed Viggo not far away, grinning.

“Such a beautiful weapon isn’t it?” he said looking at his bow. “The deadliest things often are. Take your viper friend for example. Gorgeous...

Humphrey woke up in a strange place. As he opened his eyes and looked around, he couldn’t figure out where he was. He couldn’t even remember how he had gotten here. The place was fairly large, but enclosed. There were various weird items sitting all around him and he was laying on something soft and fuzzy. Slowly, it all came back to him. It was a little less than a month ago when he, along with Kate, his pups, Garth, Lilly, Daria, Marcel, and Paddy had set out to find his parents.

After finding out they were dead, the group had learned that the valley had been taken over by the Rogue Wolves...

Chapter 1: A New Beginning

The sound of howling wolves filled the air once more. Stinky and Runt rushed to the edge of the valley.

“They’re back!” Runt exclaimed.

“I told you this victory was too easy,” Stinky replied. “We should never have sent Claudette and the others back for the caribou.”

“It wasn’t my idea to send her back.”

“Could you two stop arguing so I can kill something?” Mick shouted at them. “You’re really starting to bug me.”

“Alright, everyone,” Stinky said to the wolves behind him. “Second wave incoming.”

Runt slid down from a tree as a group of...

I didn’t include any characters from the sequels because (1) there are way too many to count and (2) there are so many bad characters that it’d be hard to rank. Also I know there’s no actual evil character in the original.

I've been working on my Alpha and Omega franchise timeline that I plan to post with the release of The Final War and one thing got me thinking. I'm including the entire history of the Alpha and Omega franchise, so history of a few major characters are included, especially Viggo Grimskull, the main villain of the final trilogy of stories. Since he's being brought into the franchise so late, and because he's such an important character, there isn't much room to tell his entire backstory. I spend an entire chapter summarizing it but not fully explaining it. The timeline is supposed to help with...

Chapter 16: A Legend is Born

It was a calm day in Jasper Park. The sun was shining and the morning was just beginning. Kate was sleeping in the den with Runt, Stinky, and Claudette. A cool morning breeze blew through the cave entrance and woke her. She lifted her head and turned to wish her husband, Humphrey, a good morning. But all she saw was an empty space next to her, and then she remembered what had happened the day before. The battle, the General. And Humphrey. She would give anything just to spend one more day with him. All she wanted was to have Humphrey back. But no amount of hoping...

Chapter 12: A Bond Long Forgotten

The human slowly approached Humphrey and Kenya, although Kenya was the only one he really noticed. As he got closer he recognized her as his lost dog. The man slowly lowered his gun to the ground and began calling her over.

Humphrey was preoccupied at the moment, but when he heard the human calling to his sister, he turned around and when he saw the human approaching his younger sister, he became angry and afraid for her at the same time. Humphrey rushed towards them and leaped in between the human and his sister. The fur on his back stood up, bristled, his teeth...
