Oh god my tail. Well after I had to get one of my tails reattached, I learned never to mess with any Humphrey or Kate's pups, or any wolf pups in general unless I want to become a Tailess Fox. At least Runt's digesting the food now and shrinking back to size. Ok, so with that out of the way here's Chapter... wait the views for this story it's... it's... *Grabs a scouter* IT'S OVER 9000 *Crushes scouter* Readers: What Nine Thousand!. Wow I never expected this story to get a lot of views. Well here's Chapter 31 everyone. Enjoy.

Stinky's POV

Me and Artemis were tuckered out from our game of tag. "Wow your really fast and good at tag," Artemis said. "Thanks, my mom taught me how to pick up my speed at any moment. My dad also gave me and my siblings some pointers on how to corner someone in tag and hunting," I told her. "Man your parents sound awesome," Artemis said. "Yeah, well they are the Western Pack leaders," I said boldly. "Your whole families cool to be honest. Your parents, aunt and uncle are pack leader, your sister and Fleet tied in first in the Great Wolf Games and your brother can climb trees," Artemis told me.

I had to admit my family is pretty darn awesome. I looked onto Artemis as she looked a little depressed. "Hey is there something bothering you," I asked with concern. "It's nothing important," she said coldly. "Come on you can tell me," I said persistently. "Okay I'll tell you," Artemis sighed. She breathed in and sighed before telling me her secret, "Diana and I aren't really sisters." I was shocked by her statement since, for the few days I knew them, I was told Artemis and Diana were sisters.

"Does that mean..." I said before being interrupted by Artemis. "Yes I'm adopted," Artemis said as my mouth was left opened. I looked at Artemis with a sympathetic expression on my face. "Artemis," I said to her. "It's alright. I was hoping that coming back here might make me feel better, but I guess I was dead wrong. Let's go somewhere else," she said as she walked into the forest. I looked back at the flower field as I ran after Artemis.

When I caught up to her, she was looking at the ground with despair. I decided to try to cheer her. "Hey look maybe we can go somewhere else," I suggested. "Sure whatever," she said, void of any enthusiasm. At that moment I got an idea for what we could do. I only pray that it doesn't make things worse. "How bout we go to my aunt's and uncle's den in the Eastern Pack. You should see my baby cousins, they're really cute," I said as Artemis lifted her head. "Okay I guess that sounds good," She said with slight enthusiasm. Looks like I'm headed in the right track.

We headed to the Eastern Pack in hopes to cheer Artemis up. I was a bit curious as to why I didn't Uncle Garth or Aunt Lilly at Howling Rock earlier. During the walk, I tried to have a conversation with her. "Isn't the moon beautiful tonight," I asked Artemis. "Yeah a little," she said with a depressed tone. I knew this was gonna be a long walk. I just hope that I'd find a way to cheer up Artemis.

After half an hour past, the two of us arrived at the Eastern Pack as we saw a couple of wolves strolling along. When we walked towards Aunt Lilly's and Uncle's Garth den, we bumped into Uncle Scar and Aunt Claw. "Hi Stinky. Surprised to see you around here," Claw said. "Oh and who's this?" "This is Artemis, she's my date," I told them. "Well good for you Stinky," Scar said. "I take it you want to show her to Lilly and Garth." I nodded, signifying a yes. "Ok we'll Artemis the way," Claw said as she and her mate told Artemis where the Pack Leaders' den was.

"Thanks," Artemis said with appreciation in her tone. "Bye you two. Have a great night," Claw said as we headed to my aunt's and uncle's place. I noticed Artemis' expression lighten up slightly, meaning she was sort of happier than before. Maybe I can make her feel better by complementing her looks. My mother told me how complementing someone who's depressed can make them feel better. "Your hair looks really good tonight Artemis," I said to her. "Oh, t-thanks Stinky," she said. It seemed to have made her feel a little better so I guess it counts as a success.

Artemis and I had finally arrived at our destination when we heard three voices inside the den. Looking inside, we saw Aunt Lilly and Uncle Garth talking with Grandpa Tony as their pups were around them. Artemis and I walked in the entrance and I said, "Um hello?" Everyone turned their to attention to us and smiled at our presence. "Hi Stinky and ummm..." Grandpa Tony said not knowing Artemis. "The name's Artemis. Nice to meet you,"she said calmly.

Artemis proceeded to put her paw out for my relatives to shake. The three of them shook her paw. "It's very nice to meet you Artemis," Aunt Lilly said. "I'm Stinky's Aunt Lilly, this is my mate and Stinky's Uncle Garth and this is Garth's father Tony." "Hi there," Uncle Garth said to her. "It's a pleasure to meet you all," Artemis said.

She became distracted by the whimpering of my pup cousin. "Do you want to see them," Aunt Lilly asked as Artemis walked over to my aunt. The pups were suckling on their mother's nipples for milk. "What are their names," Artemis asked. "Well this is Eva, Inferno, Fenrir, Blizzard, Felicity and Fang," Auntie said in order of the pups from left to right (If you don't remember what each of the pups looks like, just go back to Chapter 7). "D'awww," Artemis said. "Aren't they just precious," Uncle Garth said.

One of the girls, Blizzard, stopped suckling and walked towards Artemis. She proceeded to nuzzle Artemis' leg. We were all amazed by the very young pup's action. Artemis only stood there looking at the snow white pup with a faint smile. She began to nuzzle Blizzard as we said d'awww at this site. "Come pup, it's time to go back to your mommy," Artemis said with a motherly tone as she put Blizzard on top her muzzle and walked over to Aunt Lilly. The pups' skins were still too sensitive for grabbing them with teeth.

"Thanks honey," Auntie said as Blizzard went back to suckling. Artemis walked back to me as she went back to being depressed. Darn. I thought that would work. "What's wrong Artemis," Grandpa Tony asked with concern in her voice. "It's nothing," Artemis. "Come on sweetie, you can tell us what's bothering you," Lilly said. Artemis looked at me as I said to her, "You can trust them."

Artemis looked back at the others as she sighed in defeat. "Fine. I'm just upset lately about being adopted," once she said that everyone had surprised looks on their faces. They weren't as shocked as I was probably because they didn't know about Diana yet. "Oh honey," Aunt Lilly said with a sympathetic tone. "I got depressed again when Stinky talked about his family," Artemis said.

A wave of guilt instantly washed over me as I found out what made Artemis depressed. "Artemis, I'm sorry if I made you sad," I said with extreme guilt. "It's alright Stinky. You didn't know at all," Artemis said reassuring me. "Plus I was already depressed about the issue before." "Did you always know you were adopted or did your parents tell you at one point," Garth asked. "I've known all my life that my parents were my biological ones," Artemis answered. "I remember the story my parents told me."

Few Years Ago: Third Person POV

A crying white furred pup was walking away from the site of her parents' death at the hand of coyotes. She was on strolling through a dark forest during a full moon. The pup hit her paw on a tree branch as she began to whimper. This poor child stopped as she was confused by this strange world. Then all of a sudden, a wolf couple had heard the girl's whimpering as they appeared through a bush. She immediately put her paws over her eyes as she was frightened.

The two wolves were shocked to find a pup, by herself. "It's okay pup we're not here to hurt you. Sigma what should we so with this pup," The female wolf said to her mate named Sigma. "I don't know Blaze, but I'll see if her parents are around," Sigma said. He went off and looked but was shocked to find two mangled corpses. The female wolf looked exactly like the pup. Sigma had to control himself from vomiting from the gruesome site.

He decided to head back to his wife and the pup. When Sigma arrived he was greeted with a question, "Did you find them?" He looked at his wife and decided to tell her the truth. Once he did, she was shocked by his response. Blaze felt extreme pity for the young pup. The couple knew, of course, that leaving the pup would spell instant death for the child. "What should we do," Blaze questioned.

Sigma and Blaze knew all the couples in the Northern Pack were either already parents or were expecting. "I don't know Blaze," Sigma said. At that moment, Blaze got an idea. "Maybe we could adopt her," Blaze suggested. "I mean it's not like I'll be able to conceive a pup." The sad truth was that Blaze was barren. She had been told by the pack healer of this heartwrenching news. Sigma looked at the pup as he decided that him and Blaze would take this pup in as their own.

The pup began to cry as Blaze walked over to the pup and licked her tears dry, "Come here pup. Me and my mate here will take you to our home," Blaze said as she put the pup over her muzzle and placed the pup over her back. "Wait Blaze did you noticed that mark under her eye," said Sigma. Blaze looked at the pup as she saw a black crescent moon under her right eye. "My goodness you're right. Hey maybe we can name her Artemis, you know after that Moon goddess we read in those things humans called books," Blaze once again suggested. "Yeah that would be a nice name for her," Sigma said.

At that moment, the pup who was named Artemis yawned. "Poor girl must be exhausted," Blaze said. "Let's hurry." Sigma and Blaze headed towards the Northern Pack as Artemis curled up on Blaze's back. Blaze and Sigma looked at her and smiled at their newly adopted daughter. They knew that this would change their lives forever.

Back at the present: Stinky's POV

I was trying to hold back tears at Artemis' story, but a few manage to escape my eyes. I saw that my relatives were crying as well. Wiping his eyes dry, Uncle Garth decided to ask a question, "But wait if your mother was barren, then how was Diana born?" "When I was older, my parents told me that my mother, through some miracle, was pregnant," Diana answered. She looked at the ground and began to cry. "Ever since the, as Diana got older, they more attention to her and act as though they never really cared about me in the first place."

It pained me to see Artemis like this. I went over to her and hugged her as she cried onto my shoulder. I felt as though I could do nothing for her. Then out of nowhere, a voice was heard, "How do you know they don't care about you anymore?" Me and Artemis looked and saw it was Aunt Lilly who spoke. "I mean they obviously care about you if they took you into their home. They're just looking after their other daughter." Uncle Garth wiped his eyes as he continued for her, "My mate is right Artemis. Your parents love you no matter. Just because they pay more attention to Diana does mean they never loved you, they're just taken care of the second addition to their family."

Artemis wiped her eyes as she began to let my aunt's and uncle's words sink in. "I know what it's like, feeling like you don't belong in your family. When I was little, I felt ostracized from my family for having white fur and being the only omega. My parents paid more attention to Kate," Auntie said. "Then I asked my mom and dad if they really loved me and that if I was really related to them. They said that they cared and loved about no matter what. They explained that Kate needed to prepare to be an alpha. My mother explained to me that her mother also had white fur and in fact two of her siblings were white wolves like me."

I then recalled how Grandma Eve talked about Great-Grandma Margaret having white fur. "Anyways, they apologized to me about if their behavior made it seem as though they didn't care about me. After that we hugged," Lilly finished. Artemis was no longer and was actually smiling. "I guess you're right. Maybe I was looking at things the wrong way, thanks you everyone," she said. "No problem honey. Don't forget that your parents will love you, blood-related or not," Auntie said. Me and Artemis left their den as we saw it was really late. "Come back anytime you want," Uncle Garth said. "It was a pleasure meeting you," Grandpa Tony said.

When we reach our point of separation, we said our goodbyes. "I wanted to give you two things," Artemis said as she hugged me. "That's for being a wonderful date." She then proceeded to kiss me. "And that's for helping me with my problems." "But my aunt and uncle were the ones that helped," I objected. "Yes but you also deserve the credit for caring about my problems and showing me your relatives," She said kissing me again. After that she left for her home and I went to mine.

I arrived at my family's den when I saw my parents talking to each other as my younger siblings were sleeping. "Oh Stinky you're back," Dad said. "Yeah," I said as I yawned. "Man I'm tired." "Come on me and your father were about to go to sleep," Mom said as the three of us went to a sleeping Runt and Claudette and cuddle with them. "How was your first Moonlight Howl sweetie," Mom whipsered. "It was great," I said with glee. "That's awesome son," Dad as we went to sleep. Awesome indeed.

So that was Chapter 31. I was a little worried about handling an emotional issue like this and having some Unfortunate Implications if I handled it poorly. Look how Family Guy handles issues worse than this. *shudders* Well I hope you enjoyed it. I wanted to tell you guys about these two guys giving me some OC's.
