Anders stopped in the middle of a forested area. His body was in pure agony and couldn't bare to take another step.

"I can't stop now." He thought as he stood there panting. He took a step forward and winced at the pain his muscles sent out. "God how long have i been running?" He said out loud as he sat down to think He counted the amount of times he saw the moon and the sun. "Dear god... I have been running for four days straight..." As he realized the time that went by his stomach growled menacingly. "With no food...I guess I have every reason to be tired."

He was still angry with himself for not being able to go longer. He got up again fighting through the pain. He walked a little ways when he noticed a large rabbit zip past him. HIs stomach growled at the sight of it and he began to chase after. His hunger seemed to have numbed the pain of his muscles because he caught up to the rabbit quicker then he had ever had in his life. The rabbit had no chance as Anders pounced on it and killed it. He picked up his prize by the ears and took it back to a clearing.

"Not much, but I guess it'll have to do for now." Said Anders as he set his food down. He laid down to get comfortable. Before he could begin to ear he heard rustling from the bush near him. Anders quickly got to his feet and took a fighting stance. Before he knew it a slim figure ran through the bush, past Anders, and took the rabbit by the ears and ran off. "You son of a.." Anders began to run before he could finish.

Anders picked up the lost distance between him and the thief quickly, and was soon side by side. The thief turned sharply before Anders could get a snap at his neck. Anders growled and set off into the brush.

The thief looked back and noticed he wasn't being followed anymore. He stopped and dropped the rabbit at his feet to catch his breath. He felt victory and began to chuckle. "Looks like I win again."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that." Anders yelled as he tackled the slim thief. The two wrestled until Anders overpowered the other. As the other struggled to get free, Anders finally got a good look at the thief.

"You little thieving piece of....didn't mother always tell you that there's no honor in a thieves work?" The thief stopped struggling as he realized Anders' voice.

"Anders?...Is that really you?"

"Yeah it's me you little runt! Now tell me what your deal is about dishonoring the family name like this before I claw your insides out."

He laughed, "Same old Anders, empty threats as always."

Anders picked up the slim wolf by the neck and threw him against a nearby tree. Knocking the breath out of him.

"Don't seem so empty now do they Zane?"

Zane stumbled to his feet and struggled to catch his breath. "Calm down Anders! You know I wouldn't last long fighting you!"

"Probably should've thought of that before you ran off without telling anyone."

"You're still sore about that?"

"Yeah I'm still sore about it. So is everyone else."

"Well I could really care less about them."

Anders angered his look and yelled, "You better let go of that feeling Zane!"

"Why is that? Are you here to bring me back to that god forsaken valley?" Zane said laughing. Anders didn't budge and Zane soon caught on and stopped laughing, "Oh you can't be serious Anders."

"If you listen to me for a second."

"No! Screw you man! You'll have to drag me back there!" Anders raised his eyebrow and Zane soon realized who he was talking to, "Um...I mean."

Anders growled and ran at Zane for another tackle, but Zane saw it coming and was able to dodge Anders' attack. "You lucky little pup!" Anders yelled.

"Oh come on! I'm surprised you didn't see that coming Anders!"

Anders went for another attack but this time he wanted his brother to dodge him. When Zane sidestepped to the right, Anders quickly bit down on his back left leg and threw him at a large rock. Before Zane could regain footing Anders slammed him into the rock again with his shoulder. Zane fell to the ground in pain.

"ALright Anders you got me bea- *cough*..." Before Zane could finish Anders took him by the neck and started to drag him.

"Ok Anders! I'm done! I'm ready to listen so please let me go."

"Are you sure? Because there's a nice little cliff over here that I saw a little while ago."

Zane looked through the clearing and saw the cliff's edge coming closer into view.

"Very funny Anders! You can stop now I get it!"

"You really don't sound like you mean it." Anders said as he approached the edge.

"No I mean it Anders! *yelp*" Anders held Zane over the cliff by the scruff of his neck in his mouth.

"ANDERS! PLEASE STOP! THIS ISN'T FUNNY!"

"Really? Cause I'm getting a kick out of it."

"GOD DANG IT ANDERS I'LL DO ANYTHING!"

"Anything huh?"

"YES!"

"Say that you're sorry that you left the pack without telling anyone."

"WHAT!?"

Anders loosened his grip.

"OK! OK!" Zane stopped and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry I left you...Dad and mom...and the pack without you guys knowing!"

"You mean that?"

"YEAH NOW PULL ME BA..." Anders threw his brother behind him before he could finish. Zane landed with a thud and moaned.

"God Anders are you crazy!" Zane yelled as Anders walked pass him with a smirk across his face. Zane followed him close behind back to where they left the rabbit.

"Hey Anders, it's getting late and my den is close by. WHy don't we go there for the night? Then you can tell me why you came all this way just to track me down."

Anders picked up his rabbit and nodded, so they both went back to Zane's den. Zane took some food from his stash and they both ate. The sun began to set when they finished.

"Alright so are you going to tell me why they want me back at that stupid valley?"

"The valley is gone Zane."

Zane looked at his brother in shock and seemed to change his attitude towards the valley. "WHAT!? HOW!? WHEN!?"

"We were run out by northern and southern wolves. Apparently they became buddies and decided that we needed to give them out land to support their needs. They attacked the valley six days ago and we didn't see it coming..."

"Why do you need me though?"

"I was sent to find you, Ryker, and Blaze to bring you guys back and fight alongside us. We are the only hope for the pack since we're the strongest."

Zane thought for a little and looked at the sunset. He sighed deeply and looked back at Anders.

"I'll help you find the others and bring them back. I owe you that much."

Anders nodded and watched the sun vanish on the horizon. The beauty of the sunset reminded him of his mother and Faith. He began to tear up but stopped himself because he didn't want to cry in-front of his brother. He laid his head on the ground and yawned.

"Well we better get some sleep for tomorrow, and since we're going to be traveling for a while we should catch up some. First thing you need to tell me about is how you got that scar on your leg. Goodnight Anders."

"Goodnight Zane." Anders replied and smiled. "Nothing has changed about him. Same little skinny omega." Anders thought to himself as he fell asleep.

A sound jarred me from my slumber. I had been sleeping since I laid down on the seat the previous night, and noticed that I needed to urinate bad, this might be hard with my screwed up ribs. It was quite dark in the Bronco due to it being covered in snow, I could not see out but I knew there had to be a lot from the way it was coming down the night before. But putting that aside, I keened my hearing. Something had moved outside, I swore I heard something bump into my Bronco. I heard more rustling, I reached forward and grabbed the steering wheel and painfully brought myself up to a sitting...

Though I heard a growl coming from the room on the right I went in there, I was hoping it was just a rat or maybe running water from the mote.
I trotted into the room.. I shouldn't have been so happy with myself, I was so ignorant at this point I ignored all the dangers that could have been around.
I looked around the room, I saw ropes and blood.
"What could that be.." I said quietly.
"Ooh god.." My eyes grew larger. I looked at the piece of paper. It had shown a man tied upside down and two men sawing his body in half.
My paws were shaking, my head was pounding. I ran out of the room. "AAAAH!"...

A couple days had passed since Kate asked if we could make the trip to Jasper to see her family, and now after having a long talk with dad, it was a green light! First priority was to get the Bronco road worthy for the long drive since my Tacoma pickup was still up at the shop getting bodywork done. Also I would have to put in a new stero, the stock Ford AM radio was shot and I could not drive over 3,000 miles without tunes! Namely my AC/DC albums and all the other songs on my iPod.
I pulled the Bronco into the lift bay with Kate riding in the passenger seat. She was in anthro form...
