Mini story 4. Part 1 of 2. “The entire US is gone...”
It's been four months since Will left to fight in Australia, and he finally made it back to the pack. He was welcomed back with immense joy from every pack member. Kate missed him tremendously and ran right up to him. "Where is your Ferrari?" Kate wondered. "It was blown up during my escape." Will answered. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that." She replied. "It's fine. After all I plan on getting a new car anyway." Will assured. "So what was it like in Australia?" A wolf pup asked. Eve gave Will a stern look. "Well it is very hot and dry." Will described. He quickly changed the subject and turned to Winston. "Hey Winston and Tony can I speak to you in private?" Will asked. "Sure" Tony answered as they walked off. "What is it Will?" Winston wondered. "I know your guys past. I know that you both use to spend a lot of time in the city when you were young. But that doesn't matter. What does matter is that I have to go first thing tomorrow, and I can't break Kate's heart again." Will began. "What does this have to do with us in the city?" Tony wondered. "I might not make it back alive. I need to find someone very special to me and I learned on the Black market that 87 cities in the US have been targeted by terrorists." Will continued. "With what?" Tony asked again. "Nuclear bombs." Will answered. "Oh my god." Winston mumbled. "Listen, If I don't make it back and you see the mushroom clouds forming I need you to go into my aircraft hangar and hide in there for three days so the fallout doesn't affect you. There is enough food and water in there to last you five days. Please keep this a secret until tomorrow afternoon when I am long gone." Will ended. "We will." Winston assured. "Thanks I know we have had our differences in the past, but I hope you guys can forgive me for what I have done to you." Will added" What do you mean?" Tony asked. "I intercepted one of the nuclear bombs. And I brought it here. That means bad people might be flying around the area for the next month trying to find it. If you see them HIDE." Will warned. "Listen Will, I don't care about that. Just come back on one piece." Winston said. "Thanks guys." Will concluded as he walked away.
