In a move he apparently believes might actually come off as concern for his kids, Jon Gosselin announced Thursday on "Larry King Live" that he wants his kids off the TLC reality program that made his family famous.
"Guess what? I want my kids off the show," Gosselin told King in a rant that included how he wasn't given the motorcycle TLC promised him if he displayed "good behavior."
"I really have to be a father here. I can't be a kid, I have to be a man," Gosselin said about his decision to hire a lawyer and bring production of the reality series to a halt.
Maybe the former star of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" would have come across as a concerned parent if the announcement hadn't come just one day after TLC essentially fired him from the show. Maybe if he hadn't spent the last 6 months partying like a witless playboy, or trying to pull together a show called "Divorced Dads" with Michael Lohan, he'd have a little fatherly gravitas behind his assertions. Maybe if unicorns and bunnies were producing fluffy, one-horned herds of magical goodness (bunicorns!) in the hills of Berks County, Pennsylvania, he'd look like a guy who has his priorities straight.
Right now, though, he just looks childish, confused and bad. Bad bad, and worse every minute he stays on camera. In one of the most bizarre highlights of the interview--and there were many-- he admitted that he owed everyone an apology, especially Hailey Glassman. Hailey? Oh wait, the daughter of your wife's plastic surgeon? Right, she needs an apology. Your kids on the other hand? They just need you to get that motorcycle.

There is a rumor now floating around that Kate might be in talks to get her own TV show.
The other day Kate was asked if she had enough money now to quit her show that puts her kids on display, and Kate said no, that she needed the attention paycheck. Then kate was asked if she is paid enough, and Kate said, "Is anyone paid enough?"
So that means as long as Kate can keep her face on TV, and wherever she can collect a check, she’s there, and so are her kids.
I wonder how much of the money the kids will get, if any, when they grow up.
Other reacted with glee.
But one person familiar with the actress interpreted the pictures as a sign that her son was all grown up. The racy images, after all, were intended for the eyes of Zac Efron.
As a result, the High School Musical star told Elle magazine that his mother gave him a surprising, responsible gift this past holiday season.
"My stocking was full of condoms this Christmas. She buys me the economy box," he said.
The whole world now knows that Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are having sex. But at least they're being safe about it.
