"This is Taking too long." Becca said, pacing the room.

Sam seemed at ease. "Relax! It takes time to earn trust in these gangs."

"And I suppose YOU would know that." Becca said, rounding on him.

Sam was, for once, caught off guard.

"Come on. It's obvious you worked for Jazzman before!" Becca said.

Sam hesitated.

"Maybe..." he said.

"Don't 'maybe' me!" Becca said, growing angrier. Her eyes began to glow and Sam looked startled and even a little fearful.

"Why is it so important?" he asked.

"You worked for criminals!!!" Becca all but yelled.

Being Robin wasn't always easy. Dick had to constantly juggle schoolwork, hero responsibilities, and his own personal life. But the hardest thing was keeping you cover when someone you care about is in danger. Dick learned that lesson the hard way when Barbara was attacked. It wasn't even by some big villain like Joker or Freeze. It was just some stupid street thugs who wanted to get to the Commissioner.

Becca was about to choke to death on the smoke, tobacco, and fumes of alcohol. Even sitting in the corner, she was getting unwanted attention. She and Sam had been told to wait in the 'common room' after they had delivered their prize to Jazzman. Becca would prefer to call it the 'disgusting room'.

He made eye contact with her, and the room grew noticably warmer.

Nathan had found the orginal cave and had sealed the entrance off with a wall of ice, to keep in the heat. In Fin's backpack he'd found a plush blanket, and placed her gently down. He even thought about kissing her on the cheek- but then again, he was no prince charming and even if he was, he sure wasn't hers.
He struck a fire with her extra Sparkstone and let it burn btween them. He was usually intriqued by fire- the way it was never staying put, always moving. But recently, he'd been more interested in a different kind of fire- the one the lived and breathed, with glistening charcoal for hair...

The storm whipped flurries and swarms of small, individual bits of white flakes across Fin's reddened cheeks. Underneath her sunglasses her eyes stung from the bitter cold. Even with her powers, this could still come through, and she didn't want to risk loosing her warmth by attempting to start a fire in this mess. And she was completely willing to give up by this point.
But the thought of never apologizing pushed her on. And now a strange sense of possesion overcame her. Nathan was hers. This was her job, no one else would ever be willing to save him like she had.
