Kay. This is in Devin's POV so I hope you enjoy.
I've heard a lot of things when I've traveled as a guardian angel. But there are two things I've heard that I will never forget in all my angelic life. The first is “Morta de paura.” Italian. This first one scares me to death. Not just because of the meaning, but because of who said it. Morta de paura means “death by fear” and Teague is the one who told me it. Angels and demons have had their wars and hatred, but things had always been different for me. It seemed that, despite my angel lineage, I attracted demons rather than repelled them. I've been surrounded by demons before. That was when I had become a Fallen Angel. And those demons had caused me more pain than anything. That had started my fear of the nasty minions of the devil. Teague and his constant kidnappings had made it eternally worse. Now I wasn't just scared of demons. No I was scared to death of demons. And it had started when the devil's highest minion became obsessed with me. I have no idea how anything could be so obsessed with me. I'm really not that special. But if I had the choice, I wouldn't send this curse on anyone else. I'd rather be scared to death of demons than watch someone be.
Which brings me to the second thing I will never forget. I love you. I'm sure you can guess who told me that. For those who can't, I'll be honest. Fang. Which has made me extremely happy. But part of me feels like I'm taking advantage of him. Because he's always there to save me when Teague pulls a scheme. Others would see that as a good sign. I don't know what to see it as. I love Fang, everyone knows that. So I guess it's just weird to have someone come after me when it's always been just me. I know I'll never forget it, those words. It's the words that hit you in some secret place in your heart, resounding forever. The words that will surprise but enchant you. Words that not a single person soon forgets. I know that half of the world isn't as lucky as I am. So having those words in heart and hearing them more and more, it brings a very rare feeling into you. Like finding gold or silver. That's how rare these words seem to be. And I not only feel blessed, but also hopeful. Because no matter what happens, I now have one person to depend on when things go wrong. I have one person I can cherish forever and trust in all situations. Fang, I love you.

This was her chance. Sydney jumped up and swung her arms under her legs so that her hands were in front of her. Quickly she swung around, hitting the guard behind her and knocking him out. Ty noticed, and lunged at her. She quickly dodged, grabbing the key for her handcuffs off the guard with the few seconds that she had earned. Before she could unlock them though, Ty was able to get back up and start kicking at her. Sydney dodged almost all, except one that sharply entered her stomach. Stumbling over, Sydney dropped the key, “Crap.” She calmly mumbled. Ty threw a punch at her; she ducked and rolled under him. She grabbed the key and quickly unlocked her cuffs. Sydney sent a punch toward Ty, who smartly dogged it and sent on back in return.
