"Your father... ugh. Thinking about him makes me shudder. And yet, he was so handsome." Dick and Kyra gagged. Ivy glared. "Do you want to be dead now or later?" The two twins instantly stopped, and the villainess continued. "Good. Anyways, he created such... nasty, air-polluting machines. And I wanted to fix that. So one day, I crashed one of his showings to stop him, and he-he rejected my idea! Just rejected it! So I went back to my lab- I work with plants, you see, and I was looking to create the perfect living carnivorous plant. But something went-"
"Wrong and you messed up the chemicals, resulting in power over everything plants." Dick finished. "You've attempted killing us for about- what, this is the third time? And every time you fail. But about two weeks later, you somehow find a new way to seclude us and poison us. We've heard this too many times, Ivy. My question is why?" Ivy was glaring at the black-haired boy. "You want to die? Fine by me." She got up and took her fingernails to his chest. He pierced her with his electric blue eyes, fierce and unrelenting. She placed her hand right above his heart and began to dig them in, but right before she broke into his skin, Kyra shouted out.
"At least answer the question!"
Ivy's red hair whipped around as she turned to face the girl. "What question?" she snarled, teeth gleaming in the light.
"Why are you trying so hard to kill us?"
The grasp on Dick's chest released as Ivy got up. "Why?" she asked. "That's a good one. Why... Well, because. I want to ruin his life. He ruined mine. I've answered this for you. It's revenge."
"That's not the reason why you want to kill us though. You only get revenge by kidnapping us. How is killing us going to get you revenge?" During her spiel Kyra tapped her brother's arm a couple times, telling him a couple of sentences in morse code.

Dick tapped back "okay" just as Ivy whipped back around. "Enough!" she yelled, wrapping both the kid's mouths in vines. "You're toying around with me. I have to deal with you now!" Both eyes clenched shut as she dug her nails into their shoulders. Kyra let out a small shriek of pain as blood welled up and ran down her arm and dripped onto the wood floor.
There was a sudden crash as water began to flood into the boat. "NO!" Ivy screamed. "What did you do?"
"They did nothing. It was I who did that." Aqualad closed the hole in the ship as Kid Flash dashed down the trapdoor ladders, followed by Artemis, Miss Martian, and Superboy. Kid Flash picked the two twins up and Miss Martian unwrapped their bonds. The blue-eyed twins grinned in sync, and sprinted up the stairs to the main deck, leaving the fight to the team- for now.
