“You modeled? For what?” Robin exclaimed
“A stupid magazine cover. It was before I saw my inner darkness and when I actually cared about being popular” I sighed
“No way” he said
“Way” I looked at the fading stars ”You have to promise not to tell anyone. Swear on my life you won’t”
“Why your life?” he asked
“Because I know you wouldn’t let anything hurt me” I whispered
“That’s true. I wouldn’t let anything happen to you” He said quietly. I looked back at him. He looked into my eyes. I looked where his eyes should be.
“Robin?” I said softly
“Yeah” I looked down, blushing.
“MOVE!” I grabbed him around the waist and flew off the ledge right as the piece he was sitting on broke off.
“Thanks” he breathed
“No problem” I smiled we were hovering fifty feet in the air over nothing. I flew back to the cliff and found a safer ledge. I took Robin’s hand so he could check it out first.
“It’s safe” he confirmed. I sat down, still holding his hand. This ledge was safer, but it was also smaller. We had to sit right beside each other. I was so close to him I could hear his light breathing.
“Thalia, you know on the ship how I said I’d be fine with looking at your face?” Robin asked
“Yeah” I blushed
“Well, that’s because ever since I saw you unconscious on the beach, I really liked you. Your sister is nice and all, but something about you makes me want to know more about you” He admitted
“Really? Usually, when my sister and I meet new people, they’re always attracted to her because she’s prettier. I got the rationality and most of the brains, while she got the more of the looks and sports. I also got the strategizing and a six sense.” I added
“What’s a sixth sense?” Robin asked
“I can’t really explain it. It’s just this feeling I get when something bad might happen” I explained
“Can you sense what’s about to happen?” he asked quietly, leaning in.
“I don’t need to. I already know” I whispered. And as the sun rose that morning, I had my first kiss. The sun rose higher into the sky.
“I’m glad I didn’t go after Cheshire this morning. I would’ve missed out on so much” I smiled
“Yeah. So am I” Robin said
“Am I interrupting something, ‘cause it looks like I’m interrupting something” someone called from the beach. I looked down and saw an archer in red. Great, company.
