Writing Question

I frequently get writer's block..

I constantly find myself halfway through my stories and I can't find the words to express what I'm trying to say. Any ideas to help me not get stuck?

I think intently on it-and then pretend its a movie im starring in and then I usually have it when Im playing...it's hard not to gt writer's block especially when you're writing all the time like me.

I know what you mean- I used to get halfway through my stories then stop, and start writing a new one. I just recently finished my first book ever. But anyways, what I did with the story I just finished was write ahead. Stop where I was and skip ahead to a few days or hours in teh future. Then, I would go back and try to fill in the blanks. It was much easier to put together once I had bits and pieces of the story. Maybe it'll work for you, too!

I talk to people. When I'm not sure about details for the setting of my book (it's set in the 6th cebtury AD) I ask my dad, and he suggests things. Maybe just talking to people and explaining the part you're stuck on would help. For example, you'd end up saying somthig like "So then they have to chase the villain round the café, knocking tables and chairs over in their hurry..." and then you'll have put what you want to say into words already!

If I'm on writer's block I try to talk to my friends (they also write) and see if thet can come up with any ideas. Sometimes if you have writer's block, I think it means that it's time for a break. Take some time off, let your mind wonder away from the story and get back to it in a couple of days or so. I hope I could've helped a bit :)

Me, if I get stuck, I reread the story so far and think about what the character would do in the situation so far. Also, music helps me a lot.
