On August 7th 1942, Allied forces stormed the beaches of Guadalcanal. Code-named Operation Watchtower. This was the spark that began a year long struggle to control the pacific during the Second World War. It was a day of courage, of honor, but most of all it was a day of unimaginable fear. Both the number of soldiers awaiting the word as their landing boats head toward the beach, and the Japanese Imperials who were anxiously awaiting to open fire on the overwhelming number of ships. On this day the will of good soldiers will be tested.
