	glelsey picked I'm not sure...: Don't know if this qualifies, but when I first started playing Awesomenauts (which isn't really a fighting game as such) one or two of the characters that I really liked turned out to be far less useful than I originally realised. The developers have done a lot of character balancing since then, so chances are those characters are actually better now, but I've got used to playing as different ones now anyway! posted over a year ago.
