For me it depends-I don't think I lean towards one over the other because I happen to love the PS3 which has internal memory but also I love the GameCube which uses a memory card,so yeah I'm pretty much in the middle.

As much as I love GameCube, the memory cards are very limited. Especially when playing a game that takes up a whole lot of memory spaces like Pokemon XD.

Memory cards! I love memory cards. The space is quite limited though... but I love how you could use it across many systems, use it on someone else's console etc.. and if your console busted, at least your save data didn't go along with it (damn you my first ps3 and all those hours......)

Downloading games and storing them in the internal memory is something I've come to love though.

It's always nice going to a friend's house and exchanging save data, that's what I've always loved about it

Internal memory has been one of the best things the previous generations introduced. They carry WAY more memory than a Memory Card could, and it's just one hard drive. I've been started gaming retro PS1 lately, and the limited space the Memory Cards hold really bothers me. I currently own 20 PlayStation games, which JUST fit on the two Memory Cards I currently have (I have pretty big games).

Imagine having to need an entire box to stuff your full Memory Cards in... And then you'd probably need to mark or label them just to remember which ones have which game data stored on them... Brrrr! Guys, take off your nostalgia goggles, the retro ages WEREN'T perfect!

I LOVE internal memory in current consoles. You can still click off the hard drives and take them to your buddy's to do some local multiplayer with them. Literally EVERYTHING has improved since the Memory Cards, IMO.

You can get extra with a memory card.

Easier to transfer when you get a new machine.
