For people who don't know what backtracking is, it's going back to an area or level that you beat once already to get an item, or to get to an area that you couldn't get to at the time.

I for one love backtracking, especially in games that I simply love to play. When I like a video game I like to be able to see everything the game has in store for me...

I do it sometimes and especially with games I love playing because I would be playing it and if there's so much to do in that certain area it helps too..wouldn't say I do it all the time but I do it sometimes and I've liked doing when I've done it (if that made sense :p)

Depends on how easy backtracking in the game is. I played a 'Metroidvania' game before that had some pretty big maps and a lot of backtracking. However, there were NO warp areas or any other kinds of transportation to help me reach the areas I've already been to. So I was constantly walking back and forth throughout the game. It got very repetitive and frustrating.

I like the exploration side to a lot of games. It makes the experience less linear too.
