Which programme do you use to create pretty icons? Except Photoshop, of course. I know only the IcoFX, but it's not perfect. I'd like to have many effects and brushes.

Well, you sound like you have a lot of experience...
Sometimes, the easiest, most convenient solutions are the best.
I edit my pictures in bighugelabs.com and THEN I either use photoshop, or even paint!
I guess I'm a little behind, huh?

Personally I like to use Corel Paint Shop Pro 10, but that's just me. Once I find something I like I stick to it. But I may just have to check out some of the things you use, lol.

I use photoshop CS4, but I used to use GIMP & paint shop pro, and both are really good to make icons

...........i only use the freeware programmes "gimp2" or "photoscape"
