1. That would break the treaty
2. He was invited to the party
3. He went there to make a compromise, not just to drop someone off.
And my answer for cheergeek is be cause that would break the treaty and that would suck because there would be a war and great characters would get hurt and possibly die.

He probably thought that her hand wasnt broken (when it was) and took that as an excuse to try and get her away from them remember in eclipse he promised edward he would play fair

so...I never thought about this...but now that I have,I thought he CUDN'T drop Bella off...But if that's the case,then how was he able to go to the party??
On the other hand, maybe he just didn't WANT to drop her off, cuz he didnt want to start anything..and the party was all for Bella and apologizing,so he didn't care..So, he didn't think about the Cullen's..Just Bella, cuz it was her day...Hmmm,IDK...

well bella sent him an invintation to their party and wedding and i'm sure that if he didn't come it would i guess hurt bella.... n edward hates to hurt here. All though he won't let her go to la push, even if it hurts her because he can't protect her there. But if jacob goes to their house edward has the advantage!!

Well they never said that the werewoves couldnt go to the Cullens house just they didnt want the Cullens on their land...and i think it would be more easy for Jake to just drop off Bella at her house without all the vampires and him being all alone and during the party he brought Quil and Embry and there was alot of other people

the reason i think he cant drop her off at the party is because vampires and werewolves arent dat good of friends. And it would have ticked Edward OFF!!!!!!!!
