ok, I posted ther question because I pictured edward very vaguely before, but now I've seen the movie, when I try to picture him, I see Robert Pattinson, which I find really annoying (I liked his performance as an actor, but it was just better in my imagination!)

Gaspard Ulliel, really? Tu es française par hasard? (parce que moi aussi) In case you're not french, I go on in english... As for myself, I would almost prefer Rob! In fact, what I don't like about a movie is that it blocks your imagination, and it feels not so intimate, not so personal any more.

Yeah it bugs me too sometimes. But this fact is really not surprising indeed.

Always pictured him as Edward, always will...Edward with a French accent. I even pictured him as Edward while reading Breaking Dawn even though I knew Rob plays Edward.

When I saw who they had chosen for Edward I nearly flipped on the account of that was almost exactly what I had pictured in my head.

Well the Edward I pictured is similar to Rob Pattinson. So I'm pretty much fine with it. It's when I'm reading the books that the Edward and Bella I imagined first come into my head. But they still look pretty similar to what I pictured.

I was talking about this the other day with my mum. When I read the book I didn't really imagine in particular what any of the characters looked like, apart from their descriptions. I thought a lot more about the settings, like the meadow and the forest and the Cullen's house. I prefer reading them now that I've watched the film because I can imagine those people in the roles of the characters. That's kind of the only good thing about seeing the movies for me, because I'm a very visual person.

The question is "How do we picture him in our head" so "Like what he is in the Book" makes no sense.
