I'm reading Midnight Sun and he always says he has a special relationship with Alice because they both have some sort of 'gift' so they understand each other.

Edward seemed to be the closest with Alice than with any of his siblings or parents. I think this is partially because they could communicate the best without words. Edward would read Alice's mind, and she could guess Edward's decisions based on her visions of the future.
Edward just doesn't have that level of closeness with any of the others. Rosalie will always have a part of her that hates Edward for not desiring her. Jasper isn't very open with anyone other than Alice, so it's hard for him to get close to anyone. Emmett is a great big brother, but again doesn't connect to Edward like Alice does. And although Edward loves Carlilse and Esme, and they love him, they're still "parents" in the conventional sense.

Alice and Edward because like edward said they are both the freaks of the vampire world. And they are close because they both know how it feels to be different. They're bonded, just look how in breaking dawn how upset he was when she left.

They both have a very advanced gift and are both wanted by the Volturi. They also just really have a very strong brother and sister connection with one another. I don't have special vamp powers but I understand the connection because I have a younger brother who I would do anything to protect just like Alice did in breaking down. All of ya'll that read it know what I am talking about.

Carlisle definetly. He saved Edwards life and he knows him for so long already

Yeah Alice because they have similar gifts and they have a connection beyond the level of the other siblings. Carlisle is pretty close with Edward too because he created him. And they started off together. But as people said; Carlisle is Edward's parent and you feel a stronger connection with your siblings than your parents because they know how it feels.
