Monday 21st April 1876
Dear diary,
Why must my father choose a suitor for me? Oh yeah now I remember, woman don't have power or freedom and the father must choose. My father is dear Charles, (But I call him Charlie, because it's easy.) I used to have my mother Renne with us, but she got permission to leave town, because my father keeps beating her. It's horrible, everyday before she left there were a new bruise or scar that was fresh. I couldn't look at it. And before we go on any futher, my name is Isabella Swan, and I am 17 years old. Normally, it would be to late to marry at this age, but the law has just changed. I wouldn't say our family; is quite poor, but we are not as richer than others. Everyday it's my duty to feed the animals , get fresh water from the well and dust the house. It's not that bad when you get use to it. Really...
As I was doing my normal chore today, (getting water from the wall,) I bumped into a new face. The thing is, I don't go out as much so I don't really know the people in the village. Anyway back to the story dear diary, the water fell from bumping into the stranger. "Hey, why did you do that?" I was so angry , but it was his fault; even by acciedent. "Oh I am so sorry." He apologised. I looked at his face, then I knew I was smitten. I couldn't help but smile and talk softer. "It's fine.Sorry." I apologised. He chuckled , wow I never made a man laugh before. "What's your name,?" His tender voice asked. "Isabella Swan, but please call me Bella. And you are?" I asked back. "Edward Cullen, please to meet you." He smiled and kiss me hand. No one ever did that to me. He was so sweet. But then a jealous girl came to up to us. "Hi Edward." And kissed him to prove she was his. "Go away, Tanya, I hate you." He madly answered back. "Why because you fallen for this mistake? Fine I'll go. My father will make a better choice for a husband" She spitefully said. And with that she pushed me back, that I fell so hard on the mud. My beautiful dress, I recently made and my hair I brushed this morning! Gross!
Edward tried to help me up, but when he did, the whole village laughed at me. I was mortified. I was so mad. Rage was bubling up inside me. "Get away from me Edward! You had a betroved, and never bothered to say, and she pushed me back. This is your fault. I wish I had never met you!" I shouted. And with that, I picked up my dress and made my way home. Tears were starting to show. "Isabella!" He called out, but I didn't want to speak to him....
That night...
Was the towns masqurade ball. It's good to hide my identity so no one speaks about my mud faux-pas. It was in the towns hall, and I was wearing a silver dress I made to only wear for occasions. It was topped of with a simple mask to tie the whole outfit together. As I entered a familiar yet hateful face smiled. He came walking towards me, but I remember I hated him. I lead him to the garden. He somehow got the wrong message and decided to follow. So what if I turn the corner here? That would lose him. And thats what I did. The garden was huge and I managed to lead him in the wrong direction. I turned left and he turned right. But stupidly I said, "Hello, hello?" And right from behind he came to kiss me. That was unexpected. But then I knew, hatred, turned to love andit turned to passion and heat.
9.: Call him Carlisle, but be sure to pronounce the 's'. When he corrects you, give him a weird look and tell him the 'q' is silent.
8.: Ask if blondes really do have more fun.
7.: Inquire as to what he actually does during his night shift at the hospital, with all those pretty nurses in ER.
6.: Instead of telling him to "get lost" in an argument, tell him to swim to France.
5.: When he annoys you, respond with "times have changed, old man".
4.: Ask him what type of superhuman power compassion is - what does he do in a fight? Love thy enemy to death?
3.: Leap out from behind the desk in his study when he isn't expecting it and spray him with holy water.
2.: Call him Doctor McSteamy or McDreamy.
and finally......
1.: Run around the Emergency Room screaming "I've been bitten! I've been bitten!".
This scene is very revealing because we can see the bracelet that Jacob gave Bella plus the bite mark left by James and finally the ring, too.
Remember that this ring is very special because it belonged to Elizabeth Masen, the biological mother of Edward, so it has a lot of sentimental value.
The ring is gorgeous, with tons of diamonds. It shows the true love that Edward has for Bella, and that he wants to spend eternity with her.
Of course, the ring scene in the book and movie is one of the most romantic and emotional of the Twilight series.
