6th chapter Learning

"Now try from the left side" I advised Jalley and she knocked me down. I could block her punch very easily but I didn't - my little girl worked so hard today and she deserved it. I was surprised how quickly she learned every technique I showed to her, too bad, she needed more strength so it would be effective. "Enough for today?"
"Yap! I'm hungry" she ran into my arms. I lifted her cheerfully and we went to the kitchen. Usually Alice was the one who prepared food but today she went shopping with girls. I could feel how much Jalley hated going through malls but she didn't want to disappoint Alice and never even mentioned that. So I decided to help her and came up with an excuse for both of us to stay at home.
"What would you like, Miss?" I asked and opened fridge.
"Strawberries!" she exclaimed and I smiled. Lately she became lovely, joyful and playful girl instead of scared, shy and silent baby we adopted. I loved her very much and that surprised me - I thought I'll never be able to love anyone as much as Alice. Apparently, I was wrong. I don't know what affected me more - Jalley becoming more and more like Alice, not only with her appearance but also with her character, or deep and maternal Alice's love to her. Anyway, I could anything for our girl now.
I heard distant voices outside and looked through window - Emmett and Edward was running here bringing Emi and Nick along.
"Hey, bro! Now that the girls are gone for shopping we can have some fun, what do you think?" Emmett grinned and I smiled too. It was a while since the last time we wrestled. I glanced at Jalley on the kitchen stool and hesitated.
"I'm not sure. What about kids?"
"Why do you think we brought Emi and Nick?" I could feel him anticipating and sighed.
"Fine. Jalley?" I called her over and she gracefully jumped to me. "Will you be a good girl and play with Nick and Emi for a while? We'll be outside"
She just chuckled, grabbed toddlers hands and dragged them upstairs.
"What are we waiting for?" Emmett frowned. "Unless you got scared and want to join girls tea party instead?"
I punched his shoulder and we went outside. After I won against Emmett in wrestling, he insisted on rematch in hand bending. We were in the middle of it when someone screamed. We immediately ran into house and I froze - girls were lying on the floor and crying. Edward reacted first.
"Emi? Jalley? Are you hurt?" he leaned towards them to check if there were injuries.
"It's her fault" Emi sobbed and Emmett gently lifted her.
"Does it hurt anywhere, princess?" he asked and she pointed to her foot which was hanging too loosely, probably dislocated. I was too shocked to check on Jalley - there were too much emotions: fear, anger, suspicion, concern, confusion and more fear...
"I'll take you to Carlisle, don't worry honey, it'll be OK soon" Emmett headed towards door.
"I think we should take Jalley too, she's in shock".
Finally, I realized that my girl was lying on the floor, hugging her knee with tears rolling down her cheeks. I could feel that she was scared, ashamed and in pain. I quickly took her in my hands and we ran outside. I could hear Edward carrying Nick behind.
"What happened?" Carlisle was also shocked seeing girls hurt.
"Help Emi, her foot is injured" Emmett lied girl on coach. Carlisle examined it for a second.
"Emi, it will hurt a bit but, trust me, soon everything will be fine" and he turned her foot into the right position. She gasped, squeezed Emmett's hand and after a second relaxed.
"Better?" Carlisle smiled and she nodded.
"Please, take a look at Jalley" my voice was shaking. I watched him checking her knee and felt panic when he frowned.
"What is it?"
"I'm sorry, my dear, but I can't help you. It will have to heal itself" Carlisle's tone was apologizing.
"What? What does it mean you can't help her?" I screamed.
"Jasper, calm down. There's is nothing I can do. Don't worry, it will heal" I wanted to protest but Jalley interrupted me.
"I'm fine" her voice sounded almost coldly.
"But you're in pain" I tried to reason her when Emi snorted.
"She's a cheater. She deserve it".
Everyone started disbelieving in her angry tone.
"I didn't cheat" new tears filled Jalley's eyes.
"Of course, you didn't" I send a wave of calmness but it didn't sooth her despair.
"But she did! Cheater!"
"Emi, please calm down. Nick, maybe you can tell what happened?" Carlisle turned to frightened boy.
"I don't know... One second they both were scuffling playfully and another second Emi started calling Jalley a cheater and kicked her knee... "
"Girls? What can you say?" Carlisle looked at both of them but Jalley was silent.
"We played but she decided to cheat!" Emi complained.
"What she did?" Emmett asked sitting next her.
"She... She cheated..." Emi's voice trailed off like there would be something she didn't want to reveal.
"You already said that" my voice was harsh. "But how?"
"She...she..." her was only a whisper now "She used her powers"
"What powers?!" Edward looked shocked.
"I, I can't tell..."
"You mean, you don't know?"
"I know. I just promised not to tell"
Now everyone was staring at Jalley. She started sobbing even louder.
"Honey?" I whispered stroking her hair "Honey, can you tell us?". She only winced.
"I didn't cheat" she hugged me and her voice became pleading "I didn't..."
"I know. I believe in you. The only thing we would love to know is what powers you have" I calmed her but it scared even more.
"I don't want to tell, it's terrible! What I can do... I will never do that to anyone! It's too scary... I don't want anyone to know... Please, don't leave me..." I held her afraid to ask her anything else - she looked so horrified. Edward opened his mouth but my glance made him shut up. No one said a word and after some time Jalley's cries fell silent and she was asleep.
I brought her home and tucked in bed. Alice haven't returned yet and I hoped that she'll be able to do something tomorrow. But a part of me was still terrified - what kind of ability could scare Jalley like that? And what if she won't be the same happy girl that played with me tomorrow?

I jumped up and whipped out my gun, aimed it for Haus' chest and fired twice. Haus went down in a second.
"Let's go!" I said and Rick jumped into the room, brandishing his knives.
Tabra grabbed his arm, twisted it around and snapped it. Clean break, sounded like, if not, good! He deserved the suffering. Rick went down on one knee, and I shot at him, the bullet entered his skull. He's a goner.
A chick walked in then, carrying a whip and slung it at Tabra. It wrapped around his neck and she started to pull.
"Let him go!" I shouted and shot at her, she got hit in the leg.
"You bitch!" She said, released Tabra and slashed her whip at me.
It knocked the gun out of my hand.
"Let's do this," She dropped her whip and walked towards me.
"First class whore!" I spat and she gasped.
"I'll kill you for that."
