“ she doesn’t know us alice”, he said. I could feel the pain in his voice right through my body it was like as if I was somehow connected to him and I did not know what to do to get disconnected but maybe I did not want to get disconnected.
But deep down, really,really , deeeep down I enjoyed what was happening as if it were some sort of video game as if I knew that I could easily get rid of these people.
Now, my confusion had turned into irritation. Why were they just standing there like statues and not saying anything? Several minutes passed by and all I did was stare at them.
But it couldn’t go on like this and so I gathered up my courage and thought that I would say something like ‘ how do you know me?’ or ‘where am I’ I finally settled with the second one and revised it in my mind .
I was about to say it when the greek god who needed sleep said, “are you scared of us?”
But why would I be scared of them? I was just anxious, anxious about whether I would be able to return home, whether I had I had gone mad, anxious that I did not know who the supermodel-like people were standing next to my side… and anxious about the fact that they knew me although I did not have the single freaking idea about who they were.
“ bella, you don’t know me?”, the girl who looked like a pixie asked “ I’m alice.”
“ ummm… alice?”, I still didn’t know who she was.
“ you don’t know us do you?”, the greek god said.
No. I did not know where I was. But please could they at least tell me why I was here, was it like some reality show thingy? Or how did they know my name and I still didn’t know them.
“ she doesn’t remember anything.” He said again. It was like as if he was reading my mind and was telling them the answers to their questions. It was irritating.
“ ok, I’ll stop if you want me to.”, maybe he did read minds, maybe he was a physco or whatever you call a person who reads minds.
This time he did not reply. Maybe he did stop reading my mind.
And then, a doctor maybe, I could tell because doctors always give out a vibe and I can tell out a doctor from across the street and also because he was a doctor.
Ok now this was getting scary. Firstly I did not know hwere I was and then I was in this place where everybody seemed to be so like statues and thirdly I didn’t think I could stand a second infront of this god andnot resist staring at him.
I saw him smile a little, I liked it. And then the doctor asked, “ how do you fell?”
“ confused”, I replied
He smiled.
“ I don’t think you remember us, do you?”
Ummm… no I don’t think I ever knew you or did i? this is what I wanted to say but what I actually said was entirely different.
“ no, I don’t who are you all”, someone sighed.
Well, I hadn’t chosen to come here alright. As if . and that too if it were upto me I would have had already figured out what the keck was I doing out here.
“ I think she needs to rest, but I we need to tell her who we are”, the god said.
“ I’m alice”, the short on e who looked like a pixie said.
“ carlisle, and this is my wife esme”, I lokked around at everyone like as if I was looking at aliens.
“and I am edward”, the god said, every time he spoke my heart skipped a beat.
