I walked down the dark corridor, Jacob and Sam and the rest of the pack were with me. We were in Volterra, and just about to enter the turrent room. Memories came flooding back to me-Janes smile, Edward in agony, Alice holding me back. I shook them away and rushed into the doors. Edward was being held between two vampires ares.
He twisted his head around to look at me. "Bella, I'm so sorry"
And then Aro twisted his arms, and Edwards head fell to the ground, staring at me with unblinking eyes.

I woke up with sweat pouring off my face. Not a good nightmare to have, especilly when you were sharing a pack mind. I decicded I needed a distraction, and ran out of my room, into the forest, and phased.
[Anyone there] I thought tentivatley
[Just me and Sam] Embry called back. [Just doing patrol. What are you doing? Shouldn't you be asleep]
I snorted. [Right. Its kinda hard to sleep right after a nightmare you know]
[Oh, right] Embry said back. [What was it. The usual monsters coming to get you?]
[Well, you guys would call them monsters. Are you sure you want to know?]
[Im bored. THeres nothing interesting going on anyway. Tell us]
[Fine] I said. I replayed my nightmare back in my head, and felt Sam and Embry wince at the end.
{Wow, that was...What was that? At the end, I mean] Embry said.
{Volterra, home of the Volturi] I shuddered at the name. It wasnt that long ago that I had ben there...I forced the image out of my head.
[Volturi?] Sam thought. It was the first time he had spoken since Id phased tonight.
[Yeah. Ruling class of vampires. They...pass justice if you break the rules]
[Rules?] Embry and sam thought togeather.
[Keep the secret. The only rule that deviates into a thousand different smaller rules. The Cullens broke it...]
[So, when Edward came back...and you were gone for three days...] Embry trailed off
[Yeah, I was at Volterra. Edward was going to kill himself, Im sure you've heard the story from Jake.] I involentary went though all that happened in my head. {Sorry guys.]
[Jane...wow] Embry thought. [Whats up with you though, how you're like a shield?]

We didnt talk for a while, but I could tell something was bugging Embry.
[Embry,whats up?] I thought
{Nothing, its just a question] he told me.
{Shoot then]
[Well, whats it like...the vampire vemon. What deos it feel like?]
His thought sent a flashback though my head, starting at the baseball game, and ending at prom.
[Buring...wow] Embry thought.
[Yeah...well, I should get back. See ya.]
[See ya,] they both said before I phased back. I went into my bedroom and there was a note on my bed. I picked it up. It was from Alice.

Dear Bella,
Please come back. You have no idea what you've done. Emment hasn't craked a joke in days, and Jaspers really depressed. Esme wont do anything, and Carlisle is the only one who acts normally anymore.
Edward just sits in his room, looking out the window. Whenever anyone even thinks of you, he attacks them. He hasn't hunted since you left.
Please Bella, we all miss you. Come back, please.

The tears ran down my face as I decicded exactly what I needed to do. I needed to see Edward, and I needed to do it now.
