12. Miracles Within Curses
Jacob
Heram said the Volturi would cover any sign of guarding their new "weapons." What did this mean? I stared out the window while a flirty flight attendant tried to unlock my thoughts. She could try talking to Edward. She just thought I was cute. She came over the seventh time before I decided to start talking.
"Look, lady, I'm getting married as soon as I meet my girlfriend," I said in a low voice as I showed her my ring. She stared at it with wide eyes and turned around. She didn't bother me after that. Edward came over.
"Jacob, now she's wondering why all the good men are taken," he whispered so low that only I could hear. If I wasn't so broken, I would have laughed.
We arrived in Italy at one in the morning. Edward drove us to the city in a stolen car. Bella wasn't happy about the stealing part, but she couldn't complain as we were getting closer and closer towards Renesmee, and my children.
After jumping the gate, two men walked up to us.
"I belive we need to see an invitation," Felix murmured.
"We're here to make an agreement with Aro," Edward said. He held Bella tighter.
Felix led us through. I followed closely as we went through a ton of dark and empty hallways, especially a very cold one, which warned us of how close we were getting. We were finally led into a room. Aro was there, talking to a young girl.
She looked scared of him, as every human should be, and was ready to run as soon as he let her go. His hand held her cheek, and she was staring at him with dark brown eyes. Her curly black hair trailed down her back. Her tanless skin was flushed.
"This will be the last time you escape, alright?" he scolded her.
The poor girl nodded and started to leave. Then she stopped in her tracks when she saw me in the doorway. She squeaked in what I thought was fear, but nothing happened to her.
She was afraid for us.
"Edward, Bella! How nice of you to join us!" Aro greeted them proudly. "I believe you came for the creations."
"Don't call my children that," I growled.
"Well, Jacob, being that they are ours as of now, we may call them what we wish," Caius said harshly.
The girl stood in front of me. Aro looked at her, amused. Then he came forward, holding out his hand to shake mine. I was about to take it when his hand bounced away, as if there were a glass wall in front of us.
"Don't you dare," the girl growled. Her voice sounded oddly familiar, although I'm certain I've never met her before.
Aro laughed and said, "Lower your sheild, and I won't use my power on him."
"Just in case, Jeffy," the girl called out. Jeffy?
A gangly teenaged boy came into the room.
"Kare?" he asked. Kare nodded at Aro.
"Wonderful," Aro said, amused. I felt the boy's eyes on my back as Aro took my hand. Then Jeffy walked to Kare. They both turned to me. Aro placed his hands on their shoulders.
"You look confused. Have you never met your own children, Jacob?" he laughed. Karrie had tears in her eyes. Jeffery was looking at her protectively.
Then his dark brown eyes turned to me. Karrie's chocolate brown eyes were at the floor.
"Why didn't you come for us sooner?" Jeffery asked. "Then we wouldn't be in this mess, and Mom-"
Karrie squeaked. Jeffery turned to her.
"Mom!" She whispered. They both pulled at my arms to make me follow them. Bella and Edward ran with me. It seems as though the chidren had the speed of a vampire. Then they did something unexpected.
Karrie jumped in midair, along with Jeffery. In Karrie's place was a bronze colored wolf, and in Jeffery's a golden wolf. Bella gasped. I decided to shift as well. Now there was three wolves in the hallway. We all ran farther into the halls, and after a few minutes, we stopped at a large wooden door. Karrie shifted and opened it. We entered a large room, complete with a sofa and mini-fridge. Karrie opened the frindge to a large stock of blood. I felt sick to my stomach as she ripped one open with her teeth and handed it to a pale body curled up in the corner.
A small hand pushed it away.
"You have to eat," Karrie argued. "Besides, you need to see who's here."
I saw two red eyes look up. I couldn't see much, because the figure was in the shadows. Then the person stood up and walked towards me.
Her face was soft, with purple circles around her eyes. Long, bronze hair fell down to her waist. I stared as Renesmee swiftly, but carefully, crossed the room.
Okay, you all must be confused as to why the two children are teens, even after three days after being taken from Forks. And as to why Renesmee is a vampire. I'll explain next chapter!!!

Robert Pattinson was nearly crushed on the set of his new movie “Water for Elephants,” which also stars Reese Witherspoon.
Rosie the elephant got her signals confused, and instead of stepping forward, she sat down and rolled over with Pattinson on her back.
The mix-up could have resulted in a Pattinson pancake, but the quick-thinking actor just slid off the four-ton elephant’s back and landed in the mud, much to the amusement of the cast and crew.
