"Helluva way to spend your birthday, Ness," Emmett joked. WHAT?!!! It's Renesmee's BIRTHDAY?
"I'm surprised," Edward whipered across the room to me.
"I was busy!" I yelled back. Renesmee looked at us as though we were going crazy. I got up from the corner I was in and sat next to Renesmee. I looked at Edward warily.
"Hey, at least you're not Mark," he said. I laughed and kissed Nessie's nose.
"Okay, we need to figure out how much this vortex'll grow until Mark returns," Heram said as he flew back into the room. "Cullens, follow me."
Nessie started to get up. I grabbed her wrist.
"Renesmee, dear, stay with Jacob," Bella told her. Renesmee sat back down. The Cullens left, leaving me with Renesmee, ALL ALONE.
"I wish Mark never existed," Renesmee sighed. I laughed. Then I tickled her. Renesmee laughed, and pulled me off the couch. We wrestled on the floor until I pinned her down. She laughed.
We stared into each others' eyes, when suddenly, Renesmee screamed. I go off of her and lifted her up.
"Renesmee! What is it?" I screamed.
Her scream suddenly cut off. Her face went blank. They glazed over, and suddenly I wasn't alone in the room anymore.
"Renesmee!" both Bella and Edward yelled. Edward picked up Renesmee's lifeless body.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!!!" Edward screamed at me.
"ME? I did nothing! That's all I COULD do!"
We stared down at Renesmee.

Her body was in her room. It looked like she was resting. I couldn't bear the thought of Renesmee dead. My life, my future, my love, wiped away before my eyes. I would die. But I couldn't.

"Her heart's missing. We don't know what happened. I'm afraid... our little Renesmee is gone," Carlisle choked. I looked around the room. We were all sad. Jasper didn't even try to change it. I was dying. I had slowly given up on life. Rosalie was sitting on Emmett's lap, looking like death. She was staring at the wall, blaming everything on me.
"Jacob was here last, he-"
"SHUT UP!" I yelled. "My reason to live; gone, and you're blaming ME?!!!"
Bella got up and made me sit down again, but I stood and ran. I ran out of the house, into the forest. I transformed, and continued where I left off when Edward sent the stupid invitation. I heard a flap of wings.
"Jacob, come back. It's useless," Heram said in my mind.
"Get away from me!"
"Okay. Come home soon..."
I ran faster, farther. I didn't feel tired at all. I wanted to jump into the vortex.
As soon as I reached the area where the vortex should've been, I saw trees. In the middle of them, I saw... Renesmee.
