After a version of Midnight Sun was leaked on the internet without her permission, Stephenie Meyer has decided to postpone the continuation of the Twilight series "indefinitely," according to her official website.

Many fans are frustrated because there's no more Twilight books to read. Is Breaking Dawn really the ending of Bella's story?

Not even close.

Pre-sale copies of Russet Noon are selling fast on Ebay. Russet Noon is the Unauthorized Sequel to Breaking Dawn. It is NOT written by Stephenie Meyer. It is a tribute to the Twilight Saga and it picks up where Breaking Dawn left off.

What happens in Russet Noon?

The Volturi are now watching the Cullens even closer, and a conspiracy is brewing deep within the catacombs of of Volterra.

Aro is determined to put an end to Bella's happily ever after. He is obsessed with getting Renesmee to join his clan in Italy, while Edward and Bella refuse to make Renesmee a full vampire.

Renesmee hates herself for being only a half breed, and her unhappiness turns Bella against her own daughter.

Humans in Forks are starting to suspect something about the Cullens, and Renesmee's lack of self-control is to blame for it. Bella and Edward might have to leave Forks permanently to protect Nessie.

Meanwhile, the spirit warriors have returned to live among the Quileutes. Taha Aki has made contact with Jacob to warn him that great danger is coming to La Push.

Ovybo Wah hoo! I was a little disapointed when I heard Midnight Sun was only Twilight from Edward's point of view. I wanted the story to continue after Breaking Dawn, and it did! I can't wait till it's out in bookstores!

kotopoulaki does the author of russet moon have the permission from SM to write that? i didn't really understand! but i can say , though I'm REALLY EXCITED about being a continue to read , i'm a little dissapointed , because it's not written by SM!

russet-noon The characters in SM's novels were not copyrighted because she never drew them or hired an artist to draw them. Today she shares her character copyrights with Summit. And, no, Russet Noon does not have direct permission from SM to publish this sequel, which is why the article says that it is a "Tribute" or "Unauthorized" Sequel.

PLune FIrst of all, the only thing not copyrightable in Twilight is the NAMES of the characters and the setting. Everything else is. If she's writing a tribute, she has to have the permission from the original author to do this. Because as far as the laws concern, Russet Noon is a work of pure fanfiction and nothing more, and the last time I check, fan fictions cannot be published. As an aspiring writer, I find it extremely offense that someone would just trample the copyright laws like that. That "fan" of Twilight who think she has the support of Meyer need to be waken up from her silly daydreaming, or prepare for a lawsuit.

Five days later I finally got the news I had been waiting for.
Ever since Alice's promise to give me up-to-the-second updates on Renesmee, I hadn't even gone home. I followed Alice around on her heels; I even went hunting with her. I dozed off for a while on the plane, and woke up with a jarr as the plane wheels hit the ground. I grabbed my bag and started to walk off the plane. It had been a five hour plane ride and all of the other passengers were stretching before leaving. They were uncomfortable, but I wasn't. Anyhow, I set my bag down and wasted a few minutes to stretch before trying to leave again. I was always forgetting to act human.
I took a shuttle to Brenton which dropped me off right on the campus, giving me the full view.
I looked around in awe. The campus seemed to stretch for miles in every direction!...

NEW MOON AND ECCLIPSE ARE TO BECOME MOVIES!!

In some very reassuring news, Reuters is reporting that Summit Entertainment has acquired the rights to the rest of the saga!

It has hired "Twilight" scribe Melissa Rosenberg, a writer/producer on Showtime's "Dexter," to adapt the first two. "Breaking Dawn," has not attached a writer.

While this does NOT confirm that the rest of the books will be turned into movies, this is certainly very good news for the franchise. We'll keep you updated!

UPDATE: Robert Pattinson has a few comments about New Moon that he made to the Chicago Tribune:

A sequel [aka New Moon] may get the green light this month, he said.

"They will literally decide the next day or the day after" once the movie opens, Pattinson said. "I think they only have plans to do the second one. There's no script for the third one. The script is already done for the second one."
