Ok after all the "Edward is sooo hot" and "Jacob is sooo hot" ...let me ask you this...if the movies had never come out...and only basing your opinion on the books and only on Stephenie Meyer's description....who would you pick?

ugh, excellent question. I'm sure before the movies, all the fans made their choice. And just to put it out there, most fans were Team Edward. Those who switch teams nowadays are influenced by what the actors look like.

But the actors aren't the characters. They are portraying them. They aren't the same characters that are in the books. New Moon makes you feel bad for Jacob. In the books, you may have had sympathy for him, but near as much in the movie. The movies fail to interpret what each book is about. They failed with Twilight, they failed with New Moon. (I enjoyed the movies, as movies, but they still don't begin to compare or resemble the essence of the books.)

You read the books, you choose who you like, and that's the end of it. You don't abandon what you believe is appealing in a person because someone has ripped abs. You find Edward appealing in the books, yet you change teams because Rob doesn't have ripped abs like Taylor? The books are what made these movies. Without them, there would be no movies. The books used to be cared for with unbelievable passion. Now, they are used as moneymakers. The new fans don't understand what the series is about. The team switching subject never fails to get me heated.

Like I've stated before, I don't understand the teams thing. It's pointless to me, since the original "teams" was supposed to be used for Bella. Now, it's used for the preference of the fans. And, I've always been Team Edward. Since I read the series in 2005, I've always found Edward more appealing.

I dont see why they make the Team Edward and Team Jacob, and everything... because really I like them both.


Through the Twilight Series, It explains Edward through Bellas eyes, which is drop-dead Gorgeous. And, It explains Jacob, as her Sun on a Rainy Day.
Jake was there when Bella needed him the most, when Edward left her. And, of course, Bella thought it was because he didnt love her. Which, now she knows is wrong. But, truthfully, what does Edward have that Jake doesnt?

Jake is Funny, and Edward is really serious.
Jake will eventually age, and Edward wont.
Jake is burning hot, and Edward is freezing cold.
Jake is a werewolf, and Edward is a vampire.

I really could go on, but I dont want the Edward fans to feel bad. I like him, too. Its just, he takes everything so serious. And, Im not necessarily agreeing with Bella about being Switzerland, either. Edward, really needs to simmer down, I think. If anything I agree with Jessica, I think Edward is jealous, Bella might choose Jake over him. He sees his thoughts and sees how happy Jake made her, and how depressed Bella was, and everything. Okay, Im kinda getting off track here...


If I had to choose who was better-looking I might have to say Edward Cullen. But, if I had to choose who you would rather be with I would have to Jacob Black.

Ive always been Team Edward. I dont care about how sexy they are. I really dont. And the fact that i liked Jake in New Moon(the move) has nothing to do with his abs.(no one believes me but its true) Because while reading the book i cant stand Jake,but in the movie is quite different. So i dont care about their sexy bodies.
And i dont care about these teams,either. Im team Switzerland.

Team Jacob anyway! When I'm talking about Jake or Edward I don't mean taylor or Robert, these guys are actors and they have nothing to do with the characters. I love Jacob for everything he is, for being so warm,funny,hot-tempered,faithful, bold,sunny, bright, light,he's not rigorous, demanding..a very positive character.
He's a normal guy, unlike Edward..I can't stand him!

i have always been for edward because i think jacob is so annoying the way he loves bella and then falls out with her , then falls back in love again and he just does my head in ++ edward cares about bella and he seriously loves her so TEAM EDWARD!

Edward. First of all, its the way Bella describes Edwards looks, his eyes, his skin and hair.

When she describes Jacob, there is not the same admiration as she has for Edwards looks.

I would still choose Edward Cullen. He is Bella's soul mate, they belonged together since the very beginning. Without one's existence, the other is miserable.

I also prefer Edward by mainly his personality; he is an amazing gentleman, he seems a little shy (I like that in guys), and he's very kind. When people who dislike him (Mike, Charlie) show their distate in obvious ways, Edward doesn't react to that. He just treats them politely as he would do with anyone else, which is something you rarely see in a seventeen-year-old boy :D

Even though he is handsome in the movies, I overall choose Edward due to his personality, and he and Bella were meant to be together from the very beginning.

So I still say, Edward :)

Ok so uhh I will pick Jacob because he has a great personality and he is nice but Edward is just a vampire and its so disgusting because he drinks blood and Jacob doesnt he has a way to act unlike Edward being a vampire

i totally agree with mandapanda, the movies and the books are completely different things, one shouldnt chosse a character over another cuz the actor is good looking, most of my friends changed to team jacob as soon as they saw how incredably awesome taylors looks, i disagreed with this. i have been in edwards team since the first time i read the first book, the edward in my head doesnt even look like rob, neither does jacob look like taylor, also the reason i picked edward wasnt because he was described as having a glorious body, it was because of who he was as a character, i liked jacob very much as well but edward was meant to have bella at the end

Def Edward because Jacob always bothered me , before the movies came out and Taylor Lautner was cast. I did find more sympathy in the movie for Jacob, but still defiantly Edward. I know people who were ALL Edward but once New Moon came out they are Team Jacob , and it bugs me so much!

Two, Jacob bugged the hell out of me in the second book... but that may just of been because I liked Edward more and wanted Bella to be with him but still.

Edward because Jacob is not suppost to be REALLY HOT like in the movies just cute/pretty and Edward is suppost to be more then what Robert Pattinsion was...Able to hold her in his arms like a baby so gorgeous that Bella felt so unpretty more then casual less then pretty she felt UGLY

i had never heard of the books untill the first movie came out. and after seeing the movie i had not picked any team. but when i read the books and fully understood the situations then i picked a team. it was team edward and i still am team edward till this day and i know i always will be. but in REAL life i like Taylor more than Rob for reasons that have nothing to do with twilight. because there not actually the characters. there actors.

TEAM JACOB cuz he is funny and PERFECT for Bella, he's the best person. He isn't afraid to express himself and is the person who healed Bella when Edward left. He won't ever hurt her and will always with her. The only time he left her was bcuz he wanted to protect her from what he was. He's better suited for her than any other human cuz he's a werewolf and he can protect whenever there's any danger. Yeah, Taylor is hot, but he's not Jake.
I never liked edward cuz he's TOO perfect. and, i mean, 109???? Don't you think that's a little too old?

Well,I'm about 50% on this question because I love the books and the movie. I think that Stephanie is a excellent writer. In fact,she's probably better than L. J. Smith. Anyway, I always thought that both Edward and Jacob were cute before I saw Twilight or New Moon. So it doesn't matter to me that Robert and Taylor, who play Edward and Jacob are sexy or not because they were hot in the books too.

you wouldnt know who they were how they looked i wouldnt know what to do i mean now that i saw the movies i think edward is hot but they are just people like you and me we are all different and the same in many ways just like actors they are being someone who they are not but they dont care i mean i would care im not someone who would pretend to be something im not its wrong and hurtful.

The truth is i would pick Edward actually i was really disappointed when my friend told me who was playing Edward. Stephanie describes him so good that i thought they would pick a better actor then Robert so now when i think about Edward the image of Robert comes into my mind and so i choose jacob because Taylor is representing him!

i would say edward deffenitely, bc vampires are just WAY more sexy, i mean, once they become a vampire, they're automatically drop-dead gorgeous so....u cant argue with that. and vampires are just sexier than warewolves. i mean, they run like 80 mph and imagine how hot that would be riding on edwards back and holding onto edward as he takes u up a tree, just like bella did in twilight. thats SSOOO hot!!!!

Sure,the actors were having girls falling all over them but I think they are getting over-obsessed.Even I am a girl and I don't go around saying Jacob is so hot....(but to me,he is'nt) or edward is so hot(he looks anorexic and just wayy to pale) So yeah that's my opinion I won't pick any of them.
