As redundant as these questions are, I prefer Edward. Not because "he's hot." I'm not talking about the actor, I'm focusing on the CHARACTER unlike most people seem to be doing. Yes he's stalkerish, and possessive, but Bella doesn't seem to care. She's an idiot like that. I like Edward because of how much he really cares for Bella; about her safety, and happiness. He's been alone for so long and surrounded by others who have found their other half. And once he finally found his, all he wants to do is kill her which is a little sad and I can't imagine how much he tortures and battles himself on the inside about it. But what I like most is that he just wants her to be happy, even if it meant that he wasn't what she wanted. Jacob doesn't seem to really care about what she wants but what HE wants. He's manipulative, pushy, selfish, and practically mouth rapes her. There's a lot of things wrong with Edward too, I'm defiantly not saying that their isn't, but I just don't find him as bad. He feels he doesn't deserve her and is willing to do what's best for her. I mean, his breakdown in Breaking Dawn was heartbreaking [makes me wish SM did his POV instead of Jacob's, which was pretty boring/pointless].
Overall, both characters have ,major issues and shouldn't be loved as much as they are. They're messed up.
