Twilight Series Question

REALLY THINK HARD ABOUT THIS.... But won't it be sad, 25 years from today, as life has a hold on you, and you just happen to catch the first "Twilight" movie, & how odd it will seem to you?

I don't know why I am posing such a depressing Question.... but just maybe I know all too well how time flies by, and you get "into" something that you REALLY DIG & LOVE with ALL OF YOUR HEART! But soon a year will drift by... not bad... then 2 years... then there is 5 years behind you, and you are busy loving something else.

10 years lapse......

15 years lapse.....

20 years lapse... and you already finished College, found your Mate, are Married, with a few cute Children of your own.

25 years later, as you are sitting home alone, flipping the channels and you come to this scene above, and your jaw drops!

"Is THAT 'how' Edward looked? His hair? OMG! It's... so old fashioned... and, why doesn't Bella seem as pretty to me. And why are they stupidly laying on the ground, just staring at each other? How did I come to love this series so much? It seems so alien to me now......."

You see, "Twilight" Saga "is" Trendy. And Trends tend to come and go like water. Soon you won't be the young, you'll be the older and wiser, and there will be another hoard of kids to take your place.

You may even try to get your own kids to read Twilight, but by then "Vampire" Love Stories will be a thing of the past, and they won't like the Books as much as you had. In fact if you try to re-read one 25 years from now, your face most likely will scrunch, and it will seem "off" to you.

I guess what I am trying to say here, is EMBRACE EACH DAY IN THE "NOW!" SAVOR IT! Because it WILL be gone Tomorrow... it already is for every star that played on Twilight. They are already doing new movies and have forgotten about Twilight, until the Last Premiere Movie in November. But to them, it will be strange, because 1 1/2 years has already went by, by the time the Last Premiere is shown... and sadly, then it will REALLY be all over.

Please. Embrace TODAY! THE NOW! THIS MINUTE! Enjoy LOVING TWILIGHT "NOW"!! Don't RUSH the Last Movie to Come So Soon, or use a Count Down.... cause whe

Wow this seems like a very insulting question. It looks like you think you're a l lot smarter than everyone here because you're like 50 years old or something. Like you know more than everyone here and it's your responsibility to teach us life lessons.

But really it's not. There are probably a lot of people here who are older and already know all this, or people who know themselves well, or people who are just smart.

I felt kind of offended also. I felt like I was being called simple minded and shallow.

Twilight Series Answers

Twilight is not just a phase for everyone.
I'm pretty sure I'm not a "phase" type of person. I can't think of a single phase I've ever been though.

I could not care less about what's "trendy" or "in" right now. I still like and appreciate everything liked 15 years ago. None of it has faded with time. I like Twilight now, I'm going to like it in the future.

I don't care if a movie or character looks "old fashioned". That's what happens with time. Present fashions become old fashioned. It's nothing to OMG about. And just because something becomes old, doesn't mean I can't like it anymore. My favorite books were written before I was born. Just because it's "before my time", that doesn't mean I'm not capable of enjoying it all the same.

The only way Twilight will become alien to me is if I somehow manage to lose my memory.

Thanks for the lifetime advice, I guess.

You have "grasped" as hard as you could, to understand "what" I am trying so desperately to express. You have a great sense of "insight" and "perspective." Hang onto these gifts (powers ;D ) that you were born with. You are one of the Lucky Ones..... With Love, Hugs, & Respect, Juliet

I wonder why you ask this question...so weird. But, I will NEVER forget Twilight! Each and every second of all the movies will be forever burned into my mind, never letting me forget about it. Each and every face of the wonderful, fantastic, beautiful, PERFECT people that played as the characters in the Twilight movies are burned into my skull, mostly Edward, Bella and Jacob. I love the books, I love the movies, I will never forget either of them, ever, even when I'm an old lady...or a skeleton in my grave, for that matter! So, theres your answer to this weirdly alien question. And I DID think hard for this<3 This is what comes from my heart! :)

Sometimes, the Truth Hurts. I'll give you an example: Do you LOVE the 1968 version of "Romeo & Juliet?" Have you even heard of it? Have you seen it? Do you know the names Franco Zeffirelli, Leonard Whiting, Olivia Hussey, John McEnery, Michael York, Pat Heywood, etc..??? They all had a part in this movie. Do you know what parts they played? No, you are not from that time.... but I am. I remember VERY VERY WELL HOW "BIG" & "EPIC" the 1968 "Romeo & Juliet" were! NOTHING could surpass it in my eyes. And in some respect you have a point, because to me, I will NEVER EVER LOVE A STORY SO MUCH AS THE 1968 version of "Romeo & Juliet." The DIFFERENCE, however, is that "Romeo & Juliet" iIS an Epic Love Story, written by a very famous man, William Shakespeare. He wrote that over 500 YEARS AGO! Another difference is that "Romeo & Juliet" are NOT "trendy." The 1968 version is the BEST VERSION, because it stays very close to what Shakespeare had written. It was in the Renaissance Period, and none of the Costumes are of "Todyay's" World. They go WITH the TIME PERIOD. From the Costumes, Scenery, Transportation, Thoughts, the way people spoke, the music.. it isn't "trendy", but in THOSE TIMES Everything was "THE BEST" to "them." But a different Example is a Movie I HAD thought was THEE FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER! It turns out, 20 years later, when I first viewed it from the first time, ... I did not laugh. It wasn't funny anymore... the times and thoughts and ideas have changes so drastically that the Comedy was no longer Relavant. It creeped me out A LOT to watch a show that I had once LOVED LOVED LOVED & THOUGHT I ALWAYS WOULD. .... turns out ..., I was dead wrong. "Trendy" films that reference a time period as "hip", will NOT be "hip" in 20 years. They'll all look... "dorky." Trust me. And I am NOT NOT NOT Trying to ruin Twilight for you!! On the contrary, I am actually trying REALLY HARD to let you young folk know that Time & the Times, it changes EVERYTHING. And I ENCOURAGE YOU & EVERYONE to EMBRACE TWILIGHT WITH ALL OF YOUR MIGHT... "NOW!" You will know what I am talking about 20 years from now. In fact, you will even remember this very conversation that I had with you. I'd hope I would still be alive in 20 more years to keep in touch with you,... but I have one foot in Heaven and one foot on Earth right now. You STILL HAVE YOUR WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF YOU! Just don't waste a SECOND of it! Cuz it really does go by too, too, fast. I guess I am very Sentimental, and I am actually "feeling" for all of you younger folk... because you don't know yet.... how relevant TIME IS. I was just trying to be Encouraging... because I feel sad for all of you to lose the Story that you LOVE with ALL OF YOUR HEART & SOUL! I am sad for you, for all Twilight fans... including myself. Well, Thank You for Commenting, and I do Pray that for YOU, the feelings of this Saga won't change..... With Love, Hugs, & Respect, Juliet

It will always be a classic for me. I'll always enjoy watching it the same way I still love watching Princess Bride, Titanic, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who (both the new and old series), etc. Sure it will be a bit nostalgic as it's one of those events that I will remember as defining a period of my life, but I'm ok with that.

Cool, you and the girl above you have good attitudes. I just hope your wishes remain true in 20 years, as how you REALLY "FEEL" NOW. It is so HARD to explain... you just have to live your life, and find out much later, what it is that I am tryting so hard to explain. I guess I can't. Everyone has to live thru these things and find out on their own. For your Time is FOREVER, where mine no longer is..... With Love, Hugs, & Respect, Juliet

:-) Thanks. I guess it's one of those things that I'll just have to live though to find out. Will try to apply your advice as it sounds like a good one.

I understand what are you talking about. But for me, Edward's hair and Bella's beauty aren't so important. I'm not really into movies like I'm into books.
Even now I understand Twilight books aren't the greatest books on Earth but I think I won't stop loving them because Twilight is the first book I read, excluding school work. They showed me whole new world, not just Forks. I learned that when reality is awful I can find my peace in books. And Twilight will always be one of those books but I know it'll never be the same feelings for it as now.

But I think that mostly fans will experience something close to what you wrote.

Thanks Nessie! I try too hard sometimes, and I get confused or misunderstood. Here, I merely was trying to actually say how sorry I am to all Twilight Fans that in November it ends. Because I feel the tug on my heart too... Just trying to help people embrace a really good thing "now." But it didn't come across as I had wished. Thank You for your kind response, and for knowing me better than many others. I hug you tight! :D - With Love & Hugs, Juliet

I think your going a bit overboard with this..."Titanic" just did it's third premiere in theaters & it's first airing was in '97 and it's still amazing so even after 25 years I doubt my feelings will change about any of the "Twilight" movies they brought something to the screen that not just kids like but adults like myself enjoy seeing and there is more to it other then characters seeing Rob & Kris along with the others in 25 years in the film will make you realize where this all began and where they will be then.
