it would make sense, being that The Volturi get an invitation from alice. It can be confusing if you are not aware of the story. Please donot get offended, if you know this then I appologize if not then I am glad to help. Alice sends the Volturi an invitation so they are aware that Edward and Bella are married. It's kind of a begining to Part 2.
It's when the volturi get a card from Edward and Bella saying they just had a baby and then one of the volturi guys says he warns that baby and that's where it ends

I don't think "the new member" is the baby. They would NEVER tell the Volturi that they had her. The new member is Bella - because they had told the Volturi that they were going to change her.
