If I am to be honest- well yeah it bothers me...just a bit. But then I just remind myself that 5th graders, 12-olds and all those younglings0they do see something quite different than the older of us. For them it`s like- the love story, the unskilled in love matters girl, the cool vampires and wolfs-actually it`s different for everybody. What matters most is that we shouldn`t be ashamed that we love Twilight just cuz we`re a bit older. What I see, find in the series is very private and I don`t think anybody else does- that`s the magical thing about books and reading:))))
seriously! it makes me feel so childish for being so obsessed with a book little kids are reading!
and freaks me out even more that they read Breaking Dawn... iky!
I dont feel like a 5th grader reading it is that big of a deal. the content in breaking dawn is no different than what there seeing when ever they turn on the t.v or being taught in school...with that said I allowed my daughter to read it who is a fifth grader only affter I had read it... not that bad some else I can relate with her about..
Totally. Today's 5th graders are not maturely advanced enough to read Twilight. Besides, how much of it would they even understand?

Their psychological advancement of a 12 year old is probably not too great either. The first book would be acceptable for their reading level, but not Breaking Dawn.
No it does not annoy me because when i was a fith grader i read on a collage reading level and nothing for my age group was on my level or at all enetertaining. you may be annoyed if you ever see me cause i was one of the fifth grade kids that was reading twilight at one time in my life. i can understand your annoyance though but i dont agree.
Uhm. seriously. Some people have different maturity levels. i know a girl who understood it. she was 12, and read breaking dawn, and got everything. im 13. is there a huge difference between 12 and 13/ not really.
well a little bit but not so much because i was reading books way above my level back then. it wouldn't bother me if they could handle it but breaking dawn is a little shaky because i mean everywhere you look or read it's all about sex sex sex so it's not as bad as people might think. and doesn't it annoy you guys when people don't read but they go see the movie and then act like they know everything about it when they really don't

omg yes!!! this girl in my school is like "im such a huge fan!!! i mean i didnt read the book but the movie was good" like wtf!!!
I agree, I was in line getting food at Wendy's the other day and I swear this girl was in 3rd grade and she was saying Twilight was the dumbest book she had ever read!! She said it took her a while to read it, but she finished it and said it was stupid! First of all, I thought she was a little to young to be reading it. Second of all, I was mad at the little girl for making fun of it!
So yes, it does bother the crap out of me.

yea third grade is way too young to be reading the twilight series period because theres stuff those kids don't understandat that age group still but expecially not breaking dawn because that book has has gotten a little bit more grown up then the other books. i know this one lady that lets her 5 year old watch any kinds of movies he wants she even let him watch the movie twilight which i don't think was right but he not my kid so i have no say what he watches.
no it makes me feel happy that people all over are becoming part of this new vampire world, and i can talk to more and more people about it constantly without looking at out of place *grins*
it doesn't annoy me but i think its not right!! i mean some of the stuff in the bk especially "Breaking dawn" r really inappropriate for young people! especially 5th graders!!
I wouldnt say it annoys me but other things piss me off lightly. I got insulted by some people, cause i am 24 years young and so into twilight. when i tried to explain that the series is for everyone i got called a freak. I was so pissed off about that, cause seriously Twilight is for sure not for little kiddies. So why does no one go and mock them for being like 12 or less. [dont get that wrong i dont have problems with anyone personal, but i had to say that]
I do agree that "Breaking Dawn"...err...might be inappropriate for young kids. I was thinking that when I read the book. But i do think that Stephenie Meyer did a good job on writing it. She didn't really explained or described the "love" scenes clearly (although, yeah, Bella might have been too anxious every night time when they're at their little house cottage XD ). Unlike some novel or like pocket books that is very "detailed" in the part of the...you-know-what...so I think its okay. Reading books at a young age is an advantage, it only becomes a disadvantage if the kid see it differently and various ideas might pop in their heads and becomes too advanced for their age when it comes to these stuff. Breaking Dawn isn't really a bad reading material for 5th graders but in order to put the minds of others at ease, parents should supervise and explain to their children about what they are reading and the whole point.
And anyway...5th graders tackles about this already in school right? they don't need to be so ignorant.
~my own opinion but if you have any objections...you can comment...i could always look at different angles ;)
i dont really know what 5th grade is :) but if they're like 12 then its a bit wierd
i mean some people are more mature.. but breaking dawn? its a bit much ay it?
I don't feel like a 5th grader reading it but I just hate when these little girls say that they love Twilight even though they have seen only the movie and read maybe like the first book.
I don't think they understand the book - the book is about love which they had never experienced. I mean I have never experienced love as well but I know how it feels when I like someone but I don't feel worthy enough for him or something like that.
I know that I'm not far from these 12year-olds (I'm 15) but I think I am more a grown-up that they are!
I'm ok with it....the younger the message of love and acceptance between different cultures/races (vamps & wovles & humans) is spread...the better the world will be. :)
Ohhh yeahh... there is this bunch of kids 2 years younger thn me who hang out where me n ma m8s do n they do not SHUT UP you never see them holding anything but Twilight and they are always saying Oh its soooo great when the truth is, they had no idea it was even a book before the movie came out - does that bug anyone else but me?- and then they got the book from the library afterwards and act like they know everything
