Before Robert Pattinson auditioned for the part of Edward the vampire in Twilight, he took a quarter of a Valium to see where it would take him. He got the part. He had no idea what he’d signed up for: he might have been aware that Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga had attracted 17m readers worldwide and that the Mormon mother from Arizona was the biggest publishing phenomenon since JK Rowling. What he didn’t see coming were the teen girls who’d fallen in love with the sensitive, tortured Edward of Meyer’s books. First they revolted online, calling Pattinson a gargoyle – and worse. Then they changed their minds, fell in love with him en masse and refused to leave him alone.

Published by Larry Carroll on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 6:26 pm.

Drew Barrymore has been starring in films for nearly thirty years; now, she’s finally ready to start directing them.

As any good Twilighter knows, rumors broke recently that her upcoming rollerskating flick “Whip It!” is so good that it has Summit Entertainment contemplating hiring her to direct “Eclipse.” And with that Ellen Page-starring film hitting theaters in October, we wanted to know what important directorial lessons she...

By now, anybody with a pulse and a bookshelf knows that the “Twilight” movie was a big hit, and that sequels “New Moon,” “Eclipse” and most likely “Breaking Dawn” will be following it in the years to come. But even the biggest Twilighters might not be aware of one additional, secret “Twilight” flick that could be coming to a theater near you, courtesy of a few of the film’s stars.

“My brother goes to UCLA, and he’s making a documentary right now called ‘The Glorification of Celebrities’,” revealed Nikki Reed when we spoke with her a little while ago, explaining...

Red has a great ass

Rachelle Lefevre in Vancouver the other day enjoying the weekend sunshine before getting to work on New Moon. Never knew but as you can see, she has an amazing ass. It’s hard to tell behind all that hair. She also looks like she knows about good photo ops, stopping for a homeless person to give him some change. I’d like to know more about her flats. LOVE her flats. Will Pixazza those flats so we can all find out.

Other fashion questions – many of you wrote about Nikki Reed’s boots in the photos posted yesterday. Not sure…but I like my boots better, which you also...

Kristen Stewart can still remember the moment when she finally realized how big a bite Twilight was going to take out of her life.

During the filming of the vampire saga, which has gone on to suck up nearly $500 million (U.S.) at the box office, the actress focused on the work at hand, not allowing herself to think about the fans that've turned the Twilight novels by Stephenie Meyer into global bestsellers.

"I had tunnel vision and I wasn't paying attention," she says.

Then Stewart showed up for a book signing in Rome and was given a reception that literally left her rocking and reeling, the...
