“You know he’s trouble don’t you?” Sofia stood at the entrance to the kitchen looking at her daughter with her gray wolf eyes. Cassie was used to her mother looking at her with those wolf eyes when she didn’t approve of something. “I’m going upstairs to change, I’ll be right down for dinner” she could still smell Gabriel’s scent, she would never forget it, he smelled like a warm summer breeze and musk. The first time she saw him she felt a pull towards him, a pull she tried to ignore. It was too dangerous, even now, thinking of him made her mouth water. To get involved with...

THE EDEN CHRONICLES

BOOK ONE: A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN LOVE

PART 1: TWERA AND THE PRINCE

Chapter 1

Kikikyo stared straight ahead as he flew. Clutched in one foreclaw was a book of centaurian poetry. His father, King Parthurnax, disapproved of the centaurian love poems contained within the book.

"Love? Bah! In my day, we didn't have anything called love. You modern dragons aren't tough," his father had said the week before. Kikikyo could remember thinking, <Here we go again. Another speech on how the ancient dragons were better.> Between his young son (at the tender age of ten-and-seven) and...

The tiny ballerina figurine
As unique as an owl in winter
As beautiful as Christmas morning joy
It stands alone, looking at the other toys in the girl's room.
She remembers when she first got her.
Her birthday.
Will never forget her reaction.
Other dolls came and went
But not the little figurine.
She dances slowly as the girl falls asleep
Her porcelin skin cold and shiny
Pretty white tutu dress
Always ready to dance and bring happiness
One day she was ignored
Weeks and days went by
Her owner, forgetting her presence.
The girl grew more, and her nightlight went
Making the ballerina feel scared and alone.
The...

One dark and cloudy night, a couple of werewolves howled, awakening more and more werewolves. They set a curse upon the world that would destroy all humans. The people of the world had hunted millions of wolves, a great number of them werewolves, and as a result, had killed millions of werewolves. Now, the werewolves were seeking revenge.

As Byron woke up on a foggy morning, he was alarmed by the sound of wind rushing by, followed by loud howls. But as he looked out his bedroom window, he saw nothing. Byron raced downstairs, and seeing his parents were asleep, he went outside. Byron was ten,...

Chapter 1
    Three years later
    Beep! Beep! Beep!
I moved my hand and turned off my alarm clock, wow, it’s six o` clock already. I groan as I rub my eyes and slowly get our of bed. I took a shower, the warm water wakes me up a bit. After I finish drying off, I put some clothes on.
As I walk to the mirror, I feel compelled to look at myself again, I’ve felt compelled too ever since Dorothy died. We’ve always had this connection,...

This is a continuation of The Dying Ashes. I am Katherine Adams and I have received this manuscript my aunt had sent me weeks ago. She has gone missing. I fear for her life and I wish not to speak of her. I must continur this tale.

I knew Dylon very well. He was like a second father to me so his death took a great toll on me. To continue my aunt's research I have had to follow those four demigods very closely. I have learned so much about them. I think that maybe it is better to move from city to city so they can't get a good lead on where I am. So far it has worked.

Gabriel and Maycen were...

Saukerl
Saukerl
"SAUMENSCH!" I hollered from next door. Saumensch isn't really the nicest thing you can call someone, it is like an insult, that is, like calling someone a pig in America. But right now, I am not in America, I am in Germany, so live with it. You'll get used to it, don't worry. "SAUKERL!" Matna hollered back. Saukerl is about the same thing, except used to call men and boys that, while Saumensch is used to call girls and women that. Her name is Matna Johanasen.Anyways, my name is Carls. Carls Shotansen. Pleased to meet you. The story of "Way to Go, Saumensch: A Note From the Saukerl" all started on one foggy night...when everyone was asleep, except for one very peculiar being. And, he, was not German. He bore the symbol of the Star of David. He was a Jew.

Chapter 6
    Breaking news
A few hours later, and you found all of us racing out of the movie theater to our car, which we thankfully parked far away from the scene. We jumped in and when we all finally stepped through Lara’s front door we burst out laughing, falling to the floor.
    “There faces!”
    “Their reactions!”
    “That was so fun!”
“You should have seen that dude! The balloon...

Chapter Three

Mason stared off at the window. Was this new emotion joy or sadness? He couldn't tell. When you think about it, his life isn't all that complicated. He could be in a worse situation like having to remodel the house after a natural disaster hit. Instead he was a millionaire with girl problems. His father offered to have "the talk" with him but he refused. Cassidy had came by this morning. She asked him out on a date and he said sure. He couldn't believe he said that.

There was something interesting about Cassidy. She had long black...

Prologue

Beep Beep The monitors from the hospital bed were rapidly going off. The violent shaking and movements made
them go faster and faster. "We're losing him! We're losing him!" They cried out, trying to turn the boy to his side. The
violent shakes stopped, as the one continuous beep on the monitor showed one never ending line.

It's been a year, since the arachnophobia slowly developed into agoraphobia. How, you may ask? It had developed from extreme arachnophobia, slowly and slowly growing so irrational that the kid won't even leave his room. His parents look at each other with misunderstanding,...

Last weekend, Ciara, Zaria, and I, Teresa, traveled from Hollywood, California to Paris, France. We planned on living there for a year and see how it goes. Zaria wanted to study fashion, Ciara wanted to study art, and I wanted to study the french boys there.

We bought an apartment about a month before we started packing. Ciara is the organized one so of course we had our plane tickets, some snack because airplane food is cheap and disgusting, and we had our suitcases. Unfortunately, I am the complete opposite of Ciara. I forgot my suticase in my mom's car. Luckily for me, she didn't drive off...

First day of summer and I'm already bored. I'm not bored enough to want to back to school. I'm just lonely bored. L. J called me several times this morning wondering if I was okay and if I wanted to go some place with him. I kindly rejected him. If it wasn't Jennifer or Tammie calling then I don't want to hear. Velvet signed me up book club thing. I do like to read books and she thought that maybe I could meet some new friends that have something in common with me. I think she is full of baloney. Velvet made me promise to go to the first meeting tomorrow. I don't know. We'll see how my mood is by tomorrow.
After much debate, I have decided to try my hand at writing a mystery novel. I've always loved mysteries, especially the original "Sherlock Holmes" stories, and shows like "Monk" and "Twin Peaks". The summary for the story I'm writing is in the in the section below. If you like the idea, let me know, because I'm really excited for the story!

Chapter Twelve: Small Rooms Makes for No Escapes

Their headquarters was nothing more then a room with monitors everywhere. They had enough in the budget to get a bigger space and tons more gadgets, they just chose not to. Some of the monitors showed different views of the outside building. One monitor was showing a desert somewhere in Africa. It is odd how they got one out there and why they have he out there. I didn't ask questions. I wanted to appear as if I knew everything about everything in the room. Marlo wasn't going to get the best of me.
      Darrell stayed by my side...
