Total Drama Island Article: My Rant on DxGxC

This is just my opinion, I don't mean to offend anyone, I was bored so I made this. I just want to make it clear I like both couples so it's not like I'll say how bad one is and say how good the other is.

DxC: I shipped this couple so hard in TDI. GxT was okay, but I really loved DxC. They complimented each other well, they had so many cute moments. When I found out their was going to be a new season I was so happy! I couldn't wait to see more DxC moments. I was disappointed to see Courtney not there then I was happy again when she came back. I thought it would be worth the wait, but it wasn't. Duncan and Courtney came to have an unhealthy relationship. I still liked them, but I was disappointed at the way Courtney was acting. And that Duncan was willing to put up with it! I still thought they were cute. After a while though I stopped shipping them and I realized how many flaws their were. It's not that I would hate it if they got back together. It's just DxG has a healthy relationship. DxC getting back together wouldn't be for the best. I don't approve of the way they made Courtney turn out. She is now a paranoid controlling monster. Thanks writers -_- Courtney in TDA was just... a bitch. No other way to put it, she sucked. She had no interesting flaws. I don't know why but I still love her. I honestly can't say I hate Duncan. I just don't like him. He broke Courtney's heart, worked with Alejandro, and basically was a jerk to EVERYONE. He was likable in TDI, and cool in TDA, but now... God what a douche -_-

DxG: Okay. I ship this couple a lot right now. Fingers crossed they stay together! Unlike DxC, this couple is actually HEALTHY. They didn't start off very well though. Seriously, it's understandable if your tired of Courtney trying constantly to change you. I'm sure everyone understands how you felt, Duncan. But cheating is wrong! Even if you are better off with Gwen. Why not dump Courtney then later on start a relationship with Gwen? Oh, and don't get me started on how Gwen acted in all of this. I seriously lost 80% of my respect for her after all this. Gwen?! Hurting a friend?! I never thought I'd see the day. The writers made Duncan a jackass with no morals, and Gwen a weak-willed selfish idiot. I mean, she knew if she kissed Duncan, Courtney would hate her, and they were friends to boot. TDI Gwen wouldn't betray her friends, but TDWT Gwen is okay with it? Gwen already pissed me off a bit in TDI. I didn't like how the writers almost ALWAYS tried to make her look like the victim in every situation. They still do it too. Which I honestly think needs to stop. It's getting old -_-

I really like Courtney and Gwen still. I can't say the same for Duncan -_- Courtney is hard for me to dislike. No matter what she does. And Gwen is just a really likeable character. It's hard for me to dislike her too. Although it's easy for me to be mad at her and lose respect for her. Gwen pisses me off slightly. And I don't like Courtney when she's doing all her 'I'm calling my lawyer!' and 'we had a contract!' crap. All the other times I think she's just the best. I get why people hate Courtney. Mainly for the reasons why i dislike her sometimes. But also because she can act like something crawled up her ass and died. But that's just Courtney's nature.

Jayden-G Great rant. For like 2 years after TDWT I was still a DXC fan, but I realized how unhealthy they are. Duncan DOES brig out the worst in her, and he LIKED her bad side, while she wanted to change him. She was decent of a character for the first half of TDWT and I liked that I did not have to see Duncan. She was kind of likeable here but everyone forgets about that. Then Duncan returns and gets mad and it less her to make out with Gwen. Note that HE WAS NOT GOING TO BREAK UP WITH COURTNEY, so he would have had both. Courtney found out, and acting crazy which took up almost half of the season. I am sick of these three being in the spotlight. I am not a Courtney fan as she irritates me at times, but Dincan is one of my least favourites. The reason is that he gets off doing things the antagonists do, scotch free. He has heated MANY times, thrown Geoff under the bus by voting for him because Geoff did not vote for HIS OWN GIRLFRIEND (another sick love by him. Note that Geoff was by his side when Courtney was voted off). He bullied Harold for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON, and I think Courtney deserved what happened the way she treated Sadie in the previous episode. He talks abou everyone and treats everyone like crap (Glad LeShawna beat him up), was two-faced to many campers, and just an asshole and throws A LOT of people under the bus (Geoff, Harold, LeShawna, Trent, Gwen, Owen, Bridgette, etc. And I know I am missing some). Everyone else to their commupance one way or another but him, and it pisses me off how fans like such an asshole and support him even though it is clear he is wrong. He gets away with everything with the fans. I like Gwen the most out of the 3, but she dropped some spots. Great article.

duncney16 I honestly completely agree with everything you've just said but I'm still a huge dxc fan and still hoping they get back together. I too have lost so much respect for Gwen, and duncan for cheating of Courtney. I don't think I would be mad if they broke up the right way and then had a relationship with Gwen. Gwen's been sneaky ever since the begining, you've pointed out a great example. And yes I agree, Courtney is a bitch. Idkk why the writers made her look like that but I too still love her. And I still like duncan, I'm just pissed he's been such an asshole in tdwt, that's not him. The real him was shown in tdi and tda. Idk why the writers made this love triangle between them. I mean why not brigette and Geoff? It Lindsay and Tyler? But Gwen and Courtney were such good friends and I was so excited for them!! But Gwen backstabed her which I never thought she'd do, I would respect her more if she went to Courtney right away. But she didnt and Courtney found out the hard way, which hurts alot more. And to still date duncan after all that is wrong too! Where's fucking girl code?! Gwen should have told duncan to forget it and then try to make things right with Courtney. That in my opinion would have made it better and I would respect Gwen more. But as of now she's a low life.

Otaku_Girl4890 @Jayden-G Thanks :D And I totally agree. I don't get why Duncan's fan base lets him get away with such things. I've tried to confront one of his fans about this before and they made it look like Duncan was the victim and it was either Gwen or Courtney's fault! Which totally isn't true. @duncney16 Thanks :) And ikr! How could Gwen's fan base not see how sneaky she was?! It was sort of obvious. Gwen's fans tend to let her get away with stuff because they don't see how sneaky and bad she can be! I still like her but I get mad at her a lot. And I totally agree! Everyone knows it's gals before pals! Gwen really should've told Courtney. But not doing that and even dating Duncan after that she just looked really weak and dumb. Courtney found out the hard way. Which was making it harder on Gwen. Gwen was just asking for trouble. And ikr why did they have to mess DxC?! They were probably the audience favorite out of the couples back in TDI. Sometimes I swear the producers and writers just love to toy with us. But DxG is a couple now. They have a healthy cute relationship. DxG is probably for the best.
