Trent stood in the pooring rain, looking at his nephew's grave, tears in his eyes. His family went inside to discuss the will, but he couldn't leave. All of a sudden he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He turned around to see Courtney wearing a black short-sleave dress under an umbrella.
"Shouldn't you be at the Aftermath?" he choked out, trying not to cry again.
"Knowing you were like this?" she hugged him.She kept the embrace as he cried into her shoulder."It's okay...Ben wouldn't want you to be like this,he hates it when you cry."
Trent sniffled and looked back at the grave."Courtney,he got the virus nine months ago,and he's turning nine in nine days!" he got down on his knees and let it all out.
Courtney looked at Trent with a shocked and sad expression."This isn't your fault, you know that right?" she kneeled down next to him.
He nodded,"How is nine my lucky number, when it has to do with my family members dying!" he beat up the grass, being careful not to hit where Ben was.
"Well Trent, something with luck to it can be either bad or good, yours just happens to be both." she grabbed his arms so he couldn't hit the ground anymore,"Come on Trent, let's go inside, you're going to catch a cold."
"Good, maybe I'll get his virus and be with him..." Courtney looked down at him, with tears in her eyes.
"Don't you ever think like that,Trent!" she made him stand up,"I know what it's like loosing someone so close to you...don't take drastic measures!" she took his hand and lead him to the small building where his family was. There, he saw his sister and brother-in-law hugging each family member and crying.Katherine, his sister, ran up and hugged him, letting out a few sobs.
"Trent,he left all his things to you..."she looked up at her brother and handed him Ben's will.
