You know how at the begining of TDI, Courtney hated him but he wouldn't give up? Then they got together in Basic Straining and TDDDDI. Well, I think he was talking about how Courtney is acting all stuck up again, like at the begining of TDI, instead of being a bad ass like in Basic Straining.
So in Duncan's mind, he thinks he's back to square one and has to win her over again.
-Or- they weren't together. Duncan thought they were together, but Courtney disagreed. So when she told him that, he assumed it was a break up and that he has to win her back.
It's probably one of those.
