How do all of you TDI fanpoppers make such good TDI art/fancharacters?

I wanna know how everyone makes the greatest looking TDI stuff ive seen. Like fan characters and such. If u know, can u...

2.(not required) Show a pic of a charter, wallpaper, or something u did or someone else did on the progarm

Then, I just try to draw the character. I use more than one layer (one for sketch lines that gets deleted later on, lineart layer, and color layer). I guess here's a screenshot (I don't know who the girl is; I just drew something random).
