Flora is one of the most liked characters from the Winx. I am personally not against her neither do I like her. I would rate her 2/5. I will just point out my reasons why I rate her 2 out of 5 , but I repeat that - I don't hate/dislike her.

She gets one point from me cause she is sweet, calm, beautiful. Being a nature fairy, she conveys an important message to save & protect nature. Her face itself reminds me of a beautiful flower. The other point is for - she is portrayed as a tanned/dark skinned girl. We more likely don't get to see a dark skinned girl playing the lead in most kind of TV shows nowadays. It's always about being white - skinned & pretty. Flora clearly proves this concept wrong. We can be as pretty, glamorous, stylish and flower girl even with dark skin, until Aisha joins Winx in Season 2 , but unlike Aisha she isn't Royal. We can count on Mielie (Flora's little sister) gets to play a recognized role in the series(season 3, season 5, season 7). She doesn't get enough screen time, but she didn't fail to win our hearts everytime she made her appearance. I liked her ever since I saw her in season 3. She is tiny, cute, determined ,strong headed and see's Flora as her inspiration. Mielie is a character everyone will definitely love. Flora earned her Enchantix trying to save her.

Now, talking about where she lost her points. Flora is timid, sly and a bit too sensitive. When we talk about her power/strength, she doesn't seem quite powerful at least in the first few seasons. I expected her to be strong as a nature fairy. No offence, but she sounds dumb in certain instances. I still remember her converting Mirta into pumpkin in season 1 and I found it damn hilarious and irritating at the same time. In season 5 when Krystal tried to break her relationship, she could have stood up against her and try to fight her instead. Or at least she could approach Helia as that would spice things up. That would be interesting to watch. She didn't talk to Helia back then as she was shy and quiet. Seeing her as a slow character is really annoying.

Thank goodness, she has flaws as I find other characters almost flawless except for Stella as it took time for her to be a fashion designer. I will count in Tecna as well when it comes to flaws as she depends to much on logical skills. She needs to let go her logic sometimes XD cause she is a normal human too.

Flora with her flaws is truly a amazing character. She is worth it. I believe when it comes to lead characters, they should put in flaws in them as it makes the character, they should put in flaws in them as it makes the character more lively. Seeing Flora a part of the Winx crew makes me happy and I like her the exact way she is. I really don't want her to change as she is very perfect and important.
